Film snaps from an early summer bike packing trip in the Norwegian mountains of Trøndelag & Røros. Somehow I never got the memo that Norwegian summer does not begin as soon as the calendar shows 1st of June – at least not in +1000 meters of elevation.
The days were luckily more sunny and warm than most of these images depict, but the nights and early mornings got proper cold with temperatures between 2-5 degrees celcius.
Heartfelt thanks to @cathrinefiala , @leonii._.iie & @juls__k_ for amazing company & zero complaints on a challenging route with plenty of surprises, knife accidents, hike-a-bike 3000, field crossings, reindeer, moose, 649 kilometers, 8278 meters of elevation, wet days and cold nights.
I’d happily do it all again, but probably not before July.
By mid November the end of daylight saving time is truly in full effect. Simultaneously, the retrograding forests and muggy gravel roads are begging to be explored and conquered. Seize the few hours of light we are given and get out there!
Overlapse. Between countries, ways of life, friends and family.
