based and malta pilled Follow @malta From 1530, the Knights Hospitaller ruled Malta and Gozo after receiving them from Charles V. They also controlled Tripoli on the North African coast as part of the same territorial arrangement. Tripoli was harder to defend and was lost to the Ottomans in 1551. Malta stayed under the order’s rule until 1798.

'ill pay u to leave' Follow @malta Malta offers up to €4,000 for migrants to voluntarily leave the country. The payments are part of an EU-backed voluntary return program. Migrants who agree to return home receive travel costs and reintegration support. The policy aims to reduce illegal migration and ease pressure on the island.

help Follow @malta About 29–31% of Malta’s population is made up of foreign nationals, meaning roughly one in three residents is not Maltese. Official statistics show around 173,700 foreigners living in Malta as of 2024, out of a total population of about 574,000. In 2011, foreigners were only about 4.9% of the population, showing how fast immigration has increased over the past decade. Malta now has one of the highest shares of foreign residents in the European Union.

illegal immigrants (bulgarians) Follow @malta Migrants arriving in parts of Europe are being housed in government-paid hotels while their asylum claims are processed. Many are given smartphones, cash allowances, food, and other benefits funded by taxpayers. These programs are run by governments and NGOs across several European countries during the asylum process.

🏆🇲🇹 Malta takes a massive victory over Bulgaria in children’s football match for cancer research. In the midst of a heated online rivalry, Malta bests Bulgaria once again. From the opening whistle, the Maltese side controlled the game with relentless energy, teamwork, and clinical finishing in front of goal. Supporters on the sidelines erupted as goal after goal found the back of the net, turning the friendly charity match into a memorable showcase for Malta’s future stars. Despite post-match complaints from Bulgarian officials regarding refereeing decisions, the result on the pitch spoke for itself. A proud day for Maltese football and a reminder that even the smallest island can produce champions. 🇲🇹 Follow @malta

🇲🇹 Breaking: Maltese dog “Noodle” escaped his enclosure overnight in a Bulgarian shelter. Staff arrived this morning to absolute chaos in the female wing. Security cameras show the tiny white dog entering around midnight. Over the next 24 hours, more than 100 females were reportedly “visited.” The shelter is now reviewing how the dog breached the gate. i dont know what happened follow @malta Thousands of Bulgarians live and work in Malta, mainly in tourism, construction, and service jobs. Migration increased after Bulgaria joined the European Union in 2007, allowing easier movement for work. Many Bulgarian workers move to Malta because of higher wages and year-round tourism jobs. Today, Bulgarians are one of the larger Eastern European communities living on the island.
