THE LETTER EYE 11/08/24 PRESAVE IN BIO
my first album, my first body of work. i honestly never thought we would’ve made it to this point but we finally did it. I remember dabbling with the idea of making an album
@ssimooooon and we started making and recording a shit ton of new music back in the covid days which was such a fun and creative time for me. I had a lot to write about and a lot of production ideas and simon was absolutely great to work with (my goat)
during this time i was going through a lot of relationship issues, personal issues, work issues, i was honestly dealing with a whole lotta life shit which i really did not want to deal with. so i did what every artist would do and ended up writing about all of it which eventually i ended up with something that i felt like had potential but it wasn’t quite there yet.
Now here comes the very talented
@jmillyfr who saw this vision that i had and was able to capture the lightning in a bottle. Josh added elements to this entire project that took my little ideas and brought them to life. a true visionary and talented individual that im forever grateful to have crossed paths with through simon.
Fast forward a couple months I start to get frustrated and impatient about how long it’s taking to finish this album. During that time I was so used to creating art that resonated with me at that moment and releasing it ASAP because this is the truest me. Me not being used to that caused me to feel uneasy as if i was wasting my time. I found it difficult to try and make other songs not related to the project but everything i wrote ended up being about that but im so thankful i didn’t jump gun cause that allowed me to meet the
@madcampdot boys who also became a pivotal component for this album.
Special thank you to all the artists featured on this project and to all the producers. Thank you to
@meifoonfoon for creating such beautiful artwork as always. Thank you to
@brettlinmusic for doing the mixing and mastering (clutch).
I am nothing without the people that surround me, without them there is no album, without them there is no Malone the Chemist.
