Five years ago, a queer corner of Distortion was born 🌈 Queer Distortion – The 5th anniversary edition – will be the biggest so far!
Presenting new and more settled DJ’s from the community in loving collaboration with @brooklynbrewerydk , with its ever-important work and donations towards the LGBTQ+ community.
To amp things up, we have joined forces with @malmopride to build a bridge between two cities that have always shared a heartbeat.
Come and see some of the finest queer DJs and drags the Malmö community has to offer!
Reminder: Queer Distortion is a space built on care, respect and community. We welcome everyone regardless of gender, sexuality, body, ethnicity or background and we expect everyone to do the same. Look out for each other!!
Queer Distortion will take place at Liva Weels Plads from 16.00-22.00. The event is part of Vesterbro Street Party, happening on Thursday 4 June 2026.

Flera hyllade krogshower, omtalad Diggiloo-turné, otaliga musikaler och pjäser, omtyckt programledare i radio och hela tio gånger i Melodifestivalen. 1996 vann hon tävlingen med ”Den vilda”, en låt skriven av henne själv tillsammans med Peter Grönvall. Nanne har som ingen annan skrivit in sig i den svenska nöjeshistorien. Med fullt ös och stor glädje har hon gett oss hits som ”Håll Om Mig”, ”Avundsjuk”, ”Den Vilda”, ”Highland” och ”Alexandra”. Förutom de egna hitsen ligger hon bakom Cecilia Vennerstens ”Det Vackraste” och Arvingarnas ”I Do” bland annat.✨

Nanne Grönvall can celebrate over 35 years as an artist. What years it has been! Several acclaimed pub shows, the famous Diggiloo tour, countless musicals and plays, a popular radio presenter and ten times in the Melodifestivalen. In 1996 she won the competition with ”Den vilda”, a song written by herself together with Peter Grönvall. Nanne has written herself into Swedish entertainment history like no other. With full force and great joy she has given us hits such as ”Håll Om Mig”, ”Avundsjuk”, ”Den Vilda”, ”Highland” and ”Alexandra”. In addition to her own hits, she is behind Cecilia Vennersten’s ”Det Vackraste” and Arvingarna’s ”I Do”, among others.

This year, we’re embracing the unapologetic power of queerness - loud, present, and rooted in the activist spirit that Pride was built on. ”NO APOLOGIES” is a reminder that our community deserves safety, dignity, and space, and that our voices matter even when others try to silence them.
It’s a call for resistance, for solidarity across borders, and for standing together in the full diversity of who we are. It’s about honouring our local community while fighting for those who can’t always fight for themselves.
This summer, we show up without shrinking, without compromising, and without saying sorry for who we are.

🧏 Experience our immersive dance peformance Indigo Flamingo with integrated Swedish Sign Language on Friday July 3.
🇸🇪 Följ med in i Indigo Flamingos drömlika klubbuniversum inspirerad av personer och platser i Malmös HBTQIA+-historia med teckenspråksgestaltning. En teckenspråksgestaltning förmedlar text och musik på teckenspråk. Detta skiljer sig från teckenspråkstolkning genom att tolken här är friare att arbeta utanför ramarna och tolka flera aspekter av det som händer på scenen. Teckenspråksgestaltningen görs av Amanda Arwidson.
🇬🇧 Step inte the indigo-tinted universe of the dreamlike clubland, Indigo Flamingo, inspired by Malmö’s LGBTQIA+ people and places with integrated Swedish Sign Language. A performance with integrated Sign Language conveys text and music in Sign Language. Here the interpreter works with multiple aspects of the performance in their interpretation of what is happening on stage.
