Hey ya! I wanted to take the opportunity to introduce myself, since I see a lot of new faces following along!
Iāve been shooting underwater for 17 years now, and Iām still so in love. I use my ballet background to work with my subjects in this fascinating and otherworldly space.
I started shooting underwater as way to solve a problem. The problem of gravity while shooting jumping dancers in the studio.
Itās now become a study of the power of body language, the power of our breath, and power of human connection without words.
My hope is that the work I create brings you some calm, evokes mystery, and allows for escape, all within the beauty of a movement.

I had a vision to create an otherworldly scene that felt like a kelp forest and a coral reef combined. A sanctuary of warm light and soft flowing fabrics for my dancer subjects to play in.

Horizontal images give me more room to show the surface and how fascinating the reflections are in the water.
I often get asked how I made the reflections happen. It just happens. And I have to be at the right angle and the model has to be high enough in the water so their reflection will appear.

I think so many of us are used to feeling like we need to force things to happen. Push harder. Figure everything out immediately. Have a plan for every next step.
But lately, Iāve been more interested in what happens when we stop rushing ourselves.
UNFOLDING is about trusting that not everything needs to happen all at once. That clarity, healing, and change can reveal themselves slowly, in their own time, when we give them space to breathe.
