Random Sunday in springtime, Tramuntana edition.
Started in Port de Sóller, jumped on the Barcos Azules ferry, cruised 40 minutes to Cala Tuent, then ran and hiked almost 15 km back through pure Tramuntana magic.
Sea, mountains, sweat, laughs, good legs, good people, good food after.
Not a bad way to spend a Sunday. 🏃♂️⛰️🌊🍽️

In the heart of the Serra de Tramuntana, Sóller keeps one of Mallorca’s most powerful traditions alive.
Es Firó remembers the attack of 11 May 1561, when corsairs landed in Port de Sóller and the people of the valley rose to defend their home.
The battle begins by the sea, on the beaches of the port, moves up into the valley, reaches Pont d’en Barona and ends in the town square, where the Sollerics celebrate victory.
Smoke, drums, xeremies, costumes, pride, history and the spirit of the Valentes Dones.
More than a festival, Es Firó is Sóller remembering who it is.

7:00am at Plaza de España. Quick meet, coffees, laughs… then straight up to the top of Puig Major to skip the traffic and drop into the real day.
Clip in and go!
Sa Calobra with the crew. Perfect weather, endless curves, that feeling of flying down… then earning it all the way back up.
Three flats, same wheel. Didn’t matter. We fixed fast, back rolling, no complaints.
Finish at Port de Sóller.
Pizza and ice cream. Sun on the face, legs done.
These are the best cycling days. 🚴♂️

Mallorca 312!! one of those days you remember.
8,500 riders.
6:30 AM start. Roads closed. The island just for us!
We rode the 225 km with over 3,500 m of climbing, alongside a friend preparing for the Tour de France. We crossed the Serra de Tramuntana, reached Andratx, and came back through the center of the island. Perfect weather. 👌
9th edition for me.
Didn’t have the best training volume, felt it in the legs… but finished. And that counts!
Best part? The people.
Riding with different groups, small chats, familiar faces along the way. That’s cycling.
Fueling was serious business:
8+ gels, bars, bananas, lots of water, electrolites… and part of it powered by @precisionfandh
Also, this year was special on another level.
We organized a group of almost 25 people, with hotels, accommodation, transport, and race entries, together with Arrivo.
At one point, deep into the ride, legs hurting, I looked around… and thought:
this is hard, but this is exactly where I want to be.
Huge thanks to everyone involved.
Let’s do it again next year! 🚴♂️🔥

Today, in Palma de Mallorca, Sant Jordi fills the streets with books and roses. Booksellers, bookstores, and authors bring new releases, old editions, and second-hand books outdoors in a celebration of love and culture. The tradition is to give a rose and a book, and the legend tells that Saint George defeated the dragon, and from its blood a red rose was born.

Sunday rides hit different.
Rolled out from Catalina Bike Rental with their new aluminium @standertbicycles .
First impressions? Solid.
Super reliable on the flats. Even better on the downhills. Stable, fast, confidence-inspiring. You point it… and it goes.
On the climbs, yeah, a bit stiffer. But honestly, barely a difference once you settle into the rhythm.
Let’s just say a few downhill PRs “accidentally” happened.
Route of the day: Palma → Calvia→ Galilea → Puigpunyent → Port des Canonge -> Valldemossa and back to Palma.
Spring turning into summer ☀️
Big thanks to @catalina.mallorca for letting us test the Standert bikes.
