Dining Out For Life is tonight. It was so fun working on this campaign with @nashvillecares and I ate SO much great food. I plan to be at @imnashville this evening if you'd like to join -- or find a participating restaurant in your neighborhood. I highly recommend the grilled cheese at @goldenponynashville for East-siders and @cityhousenashville for Germantown.
Join me on Zoom at 6:30 for my new course: Rocking Out for Beginners. No experience required. Please have handy a broom, Swiffer, or similar such guitar proxy. And check out my man @randyreedandhisproblems — the “Bachelorette Party” video shoot last fall was turnt.
I really can’t believe all this... One week ago I pulled out some gear from my live streaming days, so I could do some tests and updates, and determine what options I could extend to the many people who would be suddenly scrambling to virtualize their products and services. I also gathered old content, because it helps to have examples to show people, right? I could not find this Kenny Rogers IG post anywhere… Yesterday, on a whim I pulled out my dead, water damaged phone from 5 years ago, and after all these years decided to take a charge and power on. I found the video, and felt like I had the ultimate “Livestream OG flex” video. In the fall of 2013, I was tickled to death that I was in the same room as Kenny Rogers, to me a mythical figure who I didn’t even know was doing anything anymore. Yet there he was, cool as can be. I didn’t get around to making the post last night because I was so distracted with all my old Voice Memos and stuff from the phone. Early this morning, the first thing I saw was the news of Kenny’s passing. Everything is already super heavy right now, and though I did not have a personal feeling of loss and sadness, I just saw Dolly Parton‘s message, and when she began to cry my heart really hurt, because I know they have a very special relationship. It also permitted me to cry, not just because of this disease, but I think because of the general shape that this world is in — that we can be so advanced, but still so incredibly fucked up. I will continue to be as optimistic as I can be, and I truly hope that one day this world finds a better balance. I love you all! And RIP Kenny Rogers… you are the ONLY celebrity who ever caused me to go selfie mode. It was a moment I wanted to cherish.
Welp, I haven’t posted in so long. I feel like I have some sort of “catching up” to do. Might as well start with a snippet from this morning’s edit. So proud of this young man, @its_ya_boy_jonny

I think Peggy has turned out to be my biggest inspiration in documenting the final weeks of International Market... the building could come down as early as tomorrow, so I’m sure she will be there with her umbrella, painting away — rain or shine :)
This was a few months back, the day after they tore down @fondobject . . . Tomorrow (Wed 7/31) International Market will open its doors for the last time, so go and show some them some love if you can.
