This summer was nothing short of unforgettable. I was blessed with the opportunity to live in NYC and complete an internship with the School of The New York Times, an experience I’ll never forget. From taking students around the city to sitting in sessions led by real journalists, it opened my eyes to how powerful the world of journalism really is. Outside of work, I spent time hanging out with friends exploring new parts of the city, hopping on trains to different boroughs, and even traveling to new places together. The late nights, early mornings, getting lost on the subway, and bonding with people who were friends and even those strangers who became real friends… I’m beyond grateful for all of it. On top of that, I got accepted into an externship with PwC, and was selected as an HBCU Sideline Reporter for this upcoming football season with HbcuCampaignFund , two things I’ve prayed for and worked hard to be ready for. This summer taught me a lot how to lead, how to listen, and how to keep showing up even when you’re tired. But what really made it special was the people. The laughs, late-night talks, random food runs, and just being surrounded by folks who really saw me and supported me that made NYC feel like home. Grateful for the moments, but even more grateful for the people I shared them with. Heading into my senior year now… All Glory to God 🤞🏾📍🗽

Episode 1 of Black HistorYE with YE ⚡️ We open this series honoring Phillip Gibbs and James Earl Green of Jackson State University—two lives taken, but a legacy that still teaches us to stand firm, speak truth, and protect our own. Black history is more than dates. It’s responsibility. It’s memory. It’s movement. The Yeques remember. The Yeques educate. The Yeques lead. #BlackHistorYE #Yeques #OmegaPsiPhi #JSU #GibbsGreen CultureKeepers
