A collection of photos I took while walking the Camino de Santiago through the north of Spain along the Camino Francés.
Over the course of 5 days, Lily and I walked 115km (≈72 miles) in the sun and pouring rain, stopping along the way to sleep in albergues or hostels we found. Most days we had no idea where we would sleep that night. (On the second night I did end up sleeping on the ground :))
We simply walked 10 hours a day from small village to small town in what felt like the middle of nowhere, pausing only to rest or eat with locals while carrying everything we needed in just a small backpack. It was an experience I can’t really put into words.
Along the same route we met Nora and Jackie (slide 2) and countless other lovely people from France to Hong Kong that shared their stories with us as we walked through the beautiful and peaceful countryside. Talking for hours and hours, laughing at everything, or walking in silence, despite being exhausted and soaking wet we kept going.
Walking the Camino was genuinely one of the best experiences ever that I never thought I would have done. From Sarria to Santiago de Compostela ❤️
