Home from blessed days in Venice. I need a few days to digest all the beauty I have seen and experienced and then I will be back with a “what to do in Venice”. But for now I need a few quiet days to digest it all.
In a world where much seems to be going the wrong way, where greed, the flashy and bad behaviour increasingly is becoming the norm, it was a blessing for the soul to be surrounded by beauty and intellectually ambitious people. Grazie mille.
I have done a few new @labagatelle.dk pieces, that I am quite mad about. And maybe I will be the only one … but I will be wearing my new Ronja Pants (named after a favourite character from Astrid Lindgren’s wonderful children’s story) on repeat all summer.
5 years ago today @labagatelle.dk was launched and it has become a journey that I am most thankful for. An intently personal project that reflects and affects my life in every way. It has allowed me to meet amazing people and such kindness of spirit. Something I never take for granted. I am forever grateful to everyone who has helped me in any way big or small and to my La Bagatelle team and tailors ~ without you La Bagatelle would be but a dream in my head.
Find me in the Studio today between 11 and 3pm I will be there with @barbara.malling who has been working with me for one year now. Another achievement. It’s all love♥️
There is a new Postcard out for those who subscribe full of flowers, books and a few selfies of what to wear to stay warm yet inspired (all @labagatelle.dk but of course). They are taken at home at Bagatel in Barbara’s old room that is now slowly filling up with books and the only full figure mirror in the house, so there might be more everyday selfies from home in the future ~ if you like them…? The first drop of the year is online. I have done a new shirt (Frida) and a jacket (Audrey) as well as a pretty great coat (Betty after Betty Davis ~ @nikolajhubbe thought it was about time the great and late Betty Davis got a piece named after her). Some of the fabrics I brought home from my recent trip to India. Others are from Japan, France and the little vests are made of never used vintage coarse cotton from China. You will have to excuse the selfies, but I hope you will like the pieces all the same♥️
