we tried to capture the essence of the workshop and the question of resistance in a sound journey. therefore we embraced the "carrier bag theory of fiction" by ursula k. le guin which was the guiding thread of this year's @festival_basecamp with full commitment. we collected all the inspirations and outcomes of the workshop, metaphorically tossing them into a bag, allowing them to interact and intertwine. we then curated a sound journey, which was subsequently shared by @transition.radio and can still be heard on their website, alongside other very nice sound performances, talks, livesets that took place during basecamp.

this summer @larchiviodimato and i had the opportunity to organize a collective poetry writing workshop for @festival_basecamp .
during the workshop, we aimed to reflect on the theme of resistance and explore possibilities of resisting. we then tried to resist normative language through collective poetry by letting coincidence prevail, allowing for unexpected twists and resisting poetic norms. here are some impressions of the experience and some collective writing attempts, created in valle maggia, among soft stones and swirling water.

les toilettes publiques se caractérisent par leur absence d’individualité. dans celles-ci, la lumière bleue néon sert délibérément à limiter le temps de passage. c’est un endroit où personne ne souhaite s’attarder. que se passe-t-il lorsque des objets laissent soudainement apparaître des traces intimes du quotidien dans l’espace public ? créant une présence et une familiarité dans un lieu où personne n’est censé se sentir chez soi
