@baroot313 On the anniversary of the martyrdom of Nipsey Hussle, Iranians came together to express solidarity, voice opposition to the U.S. government, and honor the memory of Nipsey Hussle along with other Black martyrs.
.
The event conveyed a clear message to the world: the people are aware of the truth and recognize that the official narratives surrounding the de-ths of these martyrs have been distorted. The assertion that "Black on Black" vi-lence was the primary cause was firmly rejected.
.
The gathering also served as a symbol of solidarity, underscoring a shared understanding of who the true perpetrators are—and that they represent a common enemy.

"This doesn't make me anti anybody.I'm anti-oppression."
Malcolm X explains the core principle behind his activism. His fight was not against Jewish people, but against the systems of white supremacy and economic exploitation that oppressed Black Americans. He called out injustice wherever he saw it, demanding a higher standard of morality from all people and institutions in power.
This distinction between criticizing a system and attacking a group is as crucial today as it was then.

For the first time in contemporary history, a joint event is being held between Iran 🇮🇷 and the United States — and precisely at a time when the two countries are at war. The people of Iran stand in brotherhood with the Black community and all free people of the world.
Here in Atlanta, we are hosting this international Malcolm X Day event together with the 2raw4tv team. The host for this event in Atlanta is @wintherevolution
The @MalcolmXFoundation in Iran, by organizing this nationwide event (Tehran, Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles, New Jersey) alongside allied groups, seeks to demonstrate that the bond between nations is unbreakable. Malcolm X, as a martyr, reached his highest version when he evolved from a racial perspective to a trans-racial one.

Join All Power Books for a collaborative event co-hosted with organizers on the ground in Tehran, Iran at the @malcolmxfoundation 🇮🇷
This will be a political education screening from our comrades in Iran and a panel/celebration of the life of Malcolm X (El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz), whose revolutionary internationalism saw clearly that the struggle for Black liberation in the US was inseparable from the struggle of colonized and imperialized peoples everywhere — including Iran. Our event’s panel will include speakers from @blackmenbuildla , @tehrangeles_antiwar and @allpowerbooks . Endorsed by @voxummahmedia and vending by @peaceoffensive
We will explore Malcolm X’s evolving anti-colonialism and his connections to the Muslim world, parallel histories of US-backed repression, what Iranian sovereignty and Black self-determination can teach each other and concrete ways to build cross-struggle solidarity without erasing our distinct ground conditions.
This event is a celebration of Malcolm’s life, of Iranian resistance to domination, and of the radical love required to build solidarity across oceans, languages, and state-enforced borders.

🗣️ @baroot313 The banner is placed in the same square where we have pictures of Black martyrs and freedom fighters, to show that—despite the war between Iran 🇮🇷 and the U.S. government—Iran stands with the American people and considers Black people as its own.
Our Muslim brother Lil Durk is also our brother. And the fact that right when he's gaining the most influence, his old cases get brought up and he ends up in prison with an unknown fate—that’s not acceptable to us.
We stand with him 🪖🏁

Malcolm Shabazz wasn't just Malcolm X's grandson.
And the similarity in their names wasn't a random coincidence in this strange universe.
Even his pre-Islamic life resembled his grandfather's.
Even though he was the grandson of someone so important, he wasn't raised in celebrity conditions—he felt the cold violence of the streets and prison firsthand, and just like Malcolm X, he turned to Islam through hardship and storms while behind bars.
Though he wasn't given much time, he was growing spiritually and intellectually at a rapid pace.
He was becoming a leader for a new generation.
But as always… they couldn't handle the threat, so they eliminated him.
But we believe that martyrs are alive and cannot be erased.

Some leaders don't just rule. They rewire the future. 🧠🔥
Thomas Sankara. Just the name sounds like revolution. In just four years as Burkina Faso's president, he changed more than most do in a lifetime. Vaccinated 2.5 million children against deadly diseases. Planted over 10 million trees to fight desertification. Sold off the government's fleet of Mercedes and made ministers ride the cheapest cars. Refused foreign aid that came with strings attached. Changed the country's name from Upper Volta to Burkina Faso—"Land of Upright People."
And on October 15, 1987—he was assassinated. By former allies. With hands that were likely outside his country's borders.
But here's what they didn't expect: you can't kill an idea.
Today, from Iran 🇮🇷, we remember him. We watch his speeches. We loop his words: "While revolutionaries as individuals can be murdered, you cannot kill ideas." We see ourselves in his fight against imperialism, against patriarchy (he banned FGM and forced marriage), against the same systems of control that still try to silence us.

Today, we remember Assata Shakur and Zayn Malik Shakur—attacked by police on this day, yet their spirits remain unbroken. Assata’s words still echo: “It is our duty to fight for our freedom.” And from Iran 🇮🇷, we hear her. We hear all of them.
Alongside the Black Panthers, alongside Huey P. Newton—whose legacy taught the world that self-defense and community care are the same thing—we stand in solidarity. Not performative. Not temporary. But rooted in the understanding that our struggles are connected.
The same enemy that targeted the Black Panther Party target us too.
🕊️
From Tehran to Oakland to everywhere in between—power to the people. ✊🏽
