here’s the trailer of my first short film GONE PARK, I would love to screen it outside of France especially in the UK!
It’s the beginning of summer. His 20th birthday is approaching. After setting aside his love for drawing, Léo drifts between euphoria and confusion under the watchful eyes of his best friends, Rachel and Billy.

MEET Malcolm Kun (@malcolmkun )
“I think I’ve always been trying to understand people through images.”
At 26, Malcolm Kun moves between acting, writing, and directing with a quiet precision. Born in 1999 and raised on the outskirts of Paris, he belongs to a generation of filmmakers shaped as much by global visual culture as by personal memory.
Long before stepping in front of the camera, his first language was drawing. Sketchbooks filled with storyboards and self-taught comics became an early way of building fragmented, visual and instinctive narratives. His references pull from across worlds: the graphic sharpness of Takeshi Obata, the raw emotional landscapes of Gregg Araki, and the quiet humanism of Hirokazu Kore-eda.
Cinema came through performance. Trained at a drama conservatory, Malcolm developed his acting as an entry point into storytelling but quickly expanded beyond it. While studying, he began directing his own projects, using fashion films and short-form pieces as a testing ground to refine his visual language.
In late 2024, he shot Gone Park, an independent short film he both directed and starred in, it’s coming out this year. More than a standalone piece, the film operates as a fragment of a larger narrative universe he has been building for the past five years.
