Sharing a vulnerable piece from fall 2024.
This came together during one of the hardest chapters of my lifeâwhen I didnât feel like my best self. I remember thinking, âItâs the worst time for thisâ, but building this project was the thing that kept me going; It gave me something to fight for during a time when I wanted to give up.
I remember filming in what felt like a 100 degree room, completely in my head, convinced it wasnât supposed to happen like this. But then Iâd think about all the days Zach @zaaaaaaaccchhhh and Malcolm @malcolmguess showed up for me with patience and kindness, helping bring this vision to life. Iâd think about Mod @mod_pixie and Debbie @debbiechang201 moving mountains to make it happen logistically. Iâd think about the rest of the team patiently waiting for me to pull it together emotionally.
Iâd never filmed anything like this before. We were all figuring it out together, and it wasnât easy, even without the personal battles I was facing.
Over a year later, Iâm grateful. Grateful for the experience, proud of what we created, and especially thankful for everyone who supported me through it and helped to make it happen.
The critic in me wants to pick apart the little things I feel I could have done better, but the human in me is simply thankful I got the chance to create something many never do; and even more, I am thankful that these people are still in my life đ
To everyone involvedâthank you. Iâm sorry I didnât celebrate this sooner. đ¤

LOJ routine 2024. During our post-show brunch, the idea of professionally recording our routine was hatched. And from there it blossomed to this! I am in awe at how incredible this turned out. Part 1 of 2 videos.

I love telling this story.
I was introduced to @jason_derlatka by the fellas at @treehausrecording where he was recording a cover of âBroken Wingsâ by Mr. Mister. He wanted a video to accompany the song, so I came onboard to direct and shoot it. That was the first of several videos we made for cover songs that he produced ranging from âHard to Say Iâm Sorryâ by Chicago to âPrideâ by U2 and âSend Her My Loveâ by Journey. To date, those videos have collectively racked up over 27 Million views!!! Thatâs incredibly impressive on its own but what eventually transpired is even more impressive! The video for Send Her My Love eventually got passed along to the members of Journey themselves. They were so impressed by Jasonâs singing and musicianship they asked him to join the band on keyboards and vocals!!!
Fast forward to the present...in the middle of Jasonâs hectic touring schedule with the band, he was going to have one day off between playing the BMO stadium and then flying out to their next gig. He had just finished the final mix of a new original song he wrote called âSomething Higherâ and reached out to shoot a video for it. We put something together and shot the entire video in a handful of hours. The powerful, anthemic and uplifting feel of the song paired with the golden-hour rays of sunlight pouring in the beautiful loft space we found in DTLA was the perfect pairing to bring the song to life visually! This was one of my favorite videos Iâve directed and shot not only because Jason is an exceptional talent but because heâs an exceptional human being as well! From a Journey cover song to becoming a member of the band.
What. A. Journey!!!

Some of my favorite shoots are when we get to use lasers! My eyes and mind are always blown with the unique and creative possibilities that laser technology provides. Paired with this fantastic song from @garethemery of @lsrcity with beautiful vocals from @annabel.official made for an epic shoot!
