Ambitious taco night? Yes.
Did I get it done? Also yes!

Wednesday WIPs and musings - real internet again, making it through most of another week, and documenting wave existence prior to my biannual hair cut.
Starting the @knit.atx Summer MAL (Make-A-Long) today!Have my yarn - Kelbourne Woolens Mojave in Prussian Blue.
Now just need help deciding on what to make - My Favorite Camisole No.2 (white), Stella Top (off-white), or Ripple Camisole (pink)?
Bought at least a year ago at Goodwill. Didn’t have a reason, and honestly the confidence (depressionland), to wear it. Clothing swap incoming, so maybe try? Decided it was time to embrace spring and wear the dress. Now it’s me and mine and I feel lovely!
Really have learned to embrace heart over the past years - with cooking being one of the them. Part of any of our lineages is food. Love the whole brain and heart ritual of creating something that’s nourishing and brings you together. And yes the chemistry of it all…
Love a lard filled, flour fluffy/fat South Texas tortilla (if you know you know). But corn tortillas have grown on me.
Found out about Masienda @masienda and have loved them since. Tortillas I’ve made though, have been more miss. And as someone who can cook, I have been dismayed and discouraged.
Alas, maybe I needed the trifecta - tools (tortilla press, masa, liners, comal), heart,…and the trust in the timing. Maybe I needed it to all come together now?
We all need something to believe in…even if it’s a tortilla.
P.S. another big shout out to getting back on an anti-depressant and getting my life back to savor my love of life.
