The turning of the season brings fresh workshops at Wool Friends. We are so excited about our lineup of new and returning instructors this spring. Come join us in the studio to pick up a new skill or level up your practice! Check out all the details & snag your spot through our website. 🌸
Coming up in a little over a week is my Punch Needle Coasters Workshop @makewoolfriends .
This is a beginner-friendly class that will go a little more in-depth than my typical punch needle class. Students will not only learn all of the basics of working with the punch needle tool but will design and create a set of 4 coasters. We will talk about color palettes, different designs and what goes into creating a cohesive set.
I’m really looking forward to this one! I love everything that Wool Friends does so I am very excited to be teaching with them for the first time.
If you’ve been thinking about trying your hand at punch needle and want to take a little bit deeper of a dive into it, this is your chance!
Details and registration can be found on the Wool Friends website or at the Upcoming Events link in my bio.

Thank you for your message. A number of the wool friends are currently out of the studio on San Juan Island for our inaugural Cozy Friends knitting retreat in partnership with @teacozyyarnshop .
We will be open regular hours through the weekend and look forward to seeing you upon our return.
Please visit our Stories for lots more from the trip. Take care!
On the loom: wool friend Brandi is working up a sophisticated plaid in three colors of @loftyfiber Euroflax 30/2. It’s strong, vibrant, and surprisingly soft for 100% linen. Stay tuned to see it finished & washed.
More new arrivals: linen and cotton from, you guessed it, @merchantandmills . These are dreaming of becoming swingy tanks, tiered skirts, breezy chore coats, sweet shorts (yes, that railroad stripe is cotton denim!) and at least two or three of them would make for the perfect kicky neckerchief to accompany your summer adventures. Come shop!
New in: a big restock + fresh colors of the scrumptious hemp buttons from @merchantandmills . Lightweight enough for shirts, sturdy enough for jackets and pants, and available in so many lovely shades for spring and beyond. Priced by the each for precise purchasing.
The studio is closed Fridays but you can shop online or come see these tomorrow.
It’s time for another class spotlight! There are a few seats still available in May’s 2-day beginner garment sewing class — make the Trapeze Dress by @merchantandmills (yes, we love them) and add a perfect seasonal swingy staple to your closet. Taught by @mossaroundandfindout (whom we love too)!
Color spotlight: citron! We are slightly obsessed with this vibrant shade popping up in fabric, yarn, thread, and notions. It’s giving highlighter. Tennis ball. Fresh spring leaves. (Just us? You love it too?)
Just launched: our interactive weaving yardage calculator!
This free tool will do the math while you follow along on an interactive schematic that helps weavers of all levels understand how a finished piece is made up from numerous other dimensions.
Plus — see the Wool Friends yarns that match your weaving sett, and know exactly how many units you need to complete your project!
Visit our website and select "weaving calculator" in the navigation to give it a try. We can't wait to hear what you think.
Just in: many more colors of Watercolor Wovens from @fableism ! A not-quite-solid solid with gorgeous depth and complexity, they are perfect for both garments and quilting. And aren’t these teals perfect for spring? Shop online or come pet them in store.
