Finally, I feel like I am breaking into Nomad Sculpt a little bit...
Still very new to it but it has great potential for mould making but I am shocked how many copies of each object you need to make and it feels like you are writing a book to keep track of all the objects...
It's really fun to try to learn though!!
Music video with the Gothenburg band Terra I helped out on recently.
I had not heard of them before, but was very pleasantly surprised by their music!

New experiment on the go!
I have recently done a lot of very thin smash resin moulds. This is when you print a thin mould, cast your silicone and then crush the very thin mould and get a seamless part out.
A few days ago, I started to want to push this further.
What if I scan a hand, resculpt it and then print the positive and negative locked together so I can pour in silicone and after smashing the lightweight mould, and then have a silicone glove with no seams at all after breaking the mould off gently??
It is being printed in my studio now, so it's all still in theory!
But what do you think about this idea???
For the test, I am printing the outside shell at 2.5mm and the inside shell at 2mm. I am printing it with clear resins so I will be able to fully cure them in water and UV and be able to cast silicone in the mould.
It's a wrap on my latest film job, "Preservation of favored races in the struggle for life"! First time I worked on a film using Virtual Production LED screens and that was really cool!
As usual, I can't show you any of the makeups yet but it was a really fun challenge to make a a female character both looking cute and not so cute at the same time. Pictures will follow next year!
Huge thanks to Dunja and Goran for letting me join the film and have a lot of fun! And to @alexnord for being so patient and a real trooper in the makeup chair!
Last night, I attended the Danish gala premiere of "The Girl with the Needle," which I worked on so much back in 2023 in Lodz, Poland.
It was a wonderful night, an amazing film, great catch-up with the team and just feeling so great about how everything I made for the film was used in the best way possible to help tell the story and not just be an effect.
Every time you see (or more hopefully won't see!) my effects they will pull you into the story and not just be an effect!
And that is always what I want the most!
I want the great stories to be told and I want to help if I can!
And for this film, I felt I did that!
I feel so proud of having been part of this and the connection I got with all the wonderful people on this film!
The big cherry on top was that we received an Oscar nomination for Best International Feature Film when I was sitting on the train home today!
The Tears of joy were plentiful!!

Makeup and puppet details from my last post. On the first picture we see the final effect from the film "Girl with the needle".
Pic 2. is the actor @besirzeciri without any makeup.
Pic 3. Some days we needed to shoot with the hollow part painted in green to make it easier for the digital crew to replace it with the puppet.
Pic 4. This is the silicone puppet we used to replace the hollow part of his face. On the puppet the rest of the face is Chroma Green to make it easier to remove in post.
Pic 5. A few of the many masks he wore for the shoot. They had to be thrown and rubbed on the ground a few times and then they needed to be replaced since they had so many layers of paint so they could not be fixed after any damages.
Pic 6 Besir in makeup on a day when we didn't need to replace his "hole" with the puppet. Then I just painted him matte black there.
As you can see in the first picture from the film they squeezed his face a bit thinner since with prosthetics you can only add never remove.
This was a lovely mix of practical makeup FX and VFX.
Even if the shoot was super hectic and stressful, I will always remember this as one of my favourite projects!
Finally, I got to see one of the big final reveal effects from the film The Girl with the Needle, which I worked on so much last year.
Feeling so happy right now!!
The digital team under Peter Hjort did an amazing job of combining the makeup and puppet and making it look fantastic!
The film has been getting so much love globally (Golden Globe, Oscars and Bafta nominations) and I have been waiting forever to see how it all came together!
I did a full silicone makeup on the awesome actor @besirzeciri and then it was digitally composited with a puppet I made that showed the insides of his damaged mouth.
And I had the scary pleasure of trying to copy his movements and performance on stage for the filming of the puppet directly after the shoots.
I also did a lot of other fun effects for this film but since nothing of those has been publicly released I can't show any of that yet...
Stay tuned in !!
I will post actual makeup and puppet photos later!
This is so amazing!
Thank you @magnusvonhorn and @dadebba for inviting me to make my small contribution for this film!
and huge thanks to @besirzeciri and @vic_carmensonne for putting up with my torture glue :)
Hi all! The positive response from my pictures of the wig stand yesterday was overwhelming!
Thank you so much for all your kind comments and questions!
So today I want to share a little video about how it works.
I will share all the details about it soon but I am still sourcing the best suppliers for all the parts.
This is a message to my dear fellow wigmakers and hair punchers!
Do you get problems with your neck and back when working? I for sure know I do!
We get this because the wig stands and wig boxes demand that we sit with bad posture and/or hold the head with our legs to get to the right position.
And then we hurt...
Then you could look into this idea of mine which I will soon release for free as a 3D download and also sell the top part in my shop at a good price!
I want to help when I can and hopefully, you will think this seems like a good idea....
The base of the whole thing is a standard Manfrotto magic arm normally used for cameras or lights.
And then I created an expanding silicone wig block holder cone which will hold your wig block in place in the most odd positions to make it possible for you to sit comfortably and work.
And since not all wig blocks or foam castings are the same size I have made three different sizes of the silicone cone to fit most heads and they can be swapped out quickly.
What do you think? Any changes needed or would this work for you?
Please, Tell me your thoughts!!!
And please share this post to other wigmakers that might need it!!
So many unlucky feet and knees here in the studio tonight.. just hoping it will help people to help others later. Love doing medical jobs since I have to study and learn so much to get it like some sort of right.... It's hard.....
I am so excited to hear that the film I worked on last year in Poland has been chosen as Denmark's official submission for the Oscars 2025! I am keeping my fingers crossed!
