This year’s grant was created to uplift artists who are navigating real-life barriers: from accessing medical support, to overcoming mental health challenges, to supporting newcomers as they build new lives in Canada. Each recipient embodies resilience, compassion, and the power of community.
In addition to our grant recipients, we’re also celebrating a group of artists who have shown exceptional dedication to their craft. Through our 1:1 Mentorship with Nida and Artistry Training Scholarship, we’re proud to continue investing in their growth, creativity, and future success.
At Makeup by Nida & Team, this initiative is more than financial support. It’s about recognizing artists who uplift others and represent the heart of our community.

In 2022, I started Makeup by Nida & Team with one purpose: To empower women through makeup, every client we touch, and every artist we uplift.
By 2024, we’ve helped freelance artists in Toronto earn over $700,000 doing what they love.
This year, we launched in Calgary and Vancouver is next.
This isn’t just hair and makeup..
It’s a growing movement of women supporting women, showing up with calm energy, reliable service, and unforgettable glam.

This past holiday season, Makeup By Nida & Team had the pleasure of being a sponsor at the 2nd annual Rock The Halls, in support of Daily Bread Food Bank.
Presented by Canada’s Walk of Fame @cwofame in partnership with RBC and Stingray, the event raised an incredible $12,087.39 and collected 350 lbs of non-perishable food items for the food bank.
Our team had the honour of glamming @emerging.musician Program alumni Anabelle Orsette @annabelorestemusic and Maya @mayamalkin , and we were proud to participate as vendors in the silent auction.
