hello there beauties👋🏼
it's been a while since i've gotten a little personal with you all. for those who don't know me, my name is nabil ruby. nabil is my first name and ruby is my middle name. i know there's always some confusion on that🤣 i've been a makeup artist for a little over a decade now. i started at sephora as a cashier, became a certified artist, became a class facilitator, and later a licensed esthetician.
there have been many ups and downs the past couple of years and still to this day life keeps throwing challenges but i only have one option. and that is to keep going.
i keep going for myself because i love her. because there was a time my mental health completely took over my life. but i made a promise to myself to be everything i've ever wanted be🤎
i keep going for my beloved family. because i was raised by 2 warriors i get to call my mom and grandma. they sacrificed leaving a place they called home so that one day we could turn our dreams into reality.
and i keep going for the additional blessings i get to call my clients and brides.
my heart is filled with an enormous amount of love. all i ever want is for the people around me to feel loved, special, and heard.
that is why i do what i do. i get to be a part of some of the most important days for my clients. i get to make them feel even more beautiful than they already are. we bond over makeup, we laugh, they spill me the tea 😉, and it truly makes me the happiest girl.
i have clients and brides who fly in from other states for my glam, ones who fly me out to other parts of the world, and ones who choose their event dates based on my availability. i feel like i've won the lottery. in my eyes and heart i did.
i of course have to shout out my girls who not only were my glam team but are my true friends who i get to call sisters. @kristengallo_ on the makeup and content & @beautyby.krys on the hair.

that's right! this is neutral not natural makeup.
this look still consists of medium to full coverage foundation. i did however, incorporate softer eyeshadows along with neutral toned blushes and bronzers. i loved applying a softer eyelash and went with a less defined lip to finish her look.
natural makeup is a completely different type of application. it's the undetectable, barely there look because barely any makeup was used.
i hope this helps any future brides or clients better understand the difference between the two styles as there's often some confusion.
