Had the opportunity to direct a spec ad for @merit lately! We choosed the PostModern shade from their Flush Blush Balm Trio, a deep pink brown.
Merit is a minimalistic, luxury brand known for their clean, effortless beauty. And we challenged ourselves to create an avant-garde, dystopian spec that highlights the blush on the model’s face.
I loved playing with low light in this dystopian setup. The sound design had to lean into sci-fi industrial tones too. I would say it’s a bit mechanical, with a subtle electronic textures.
