Hi 👋 IG - allow me to re-introduce myself ✨ #makeupbyvadee My name is VΛDΞΞ, and I’ve been a makeup artist for 20 years. I began my journey freelancing at @narsissis , then grew into a Regional Artist role with @trishmcevoy —learning, dreaming, and working hard every step of the way. Those experiences opened doors I once only imagined, from becoming a National MUA for @diorbeauty , representing the U.S., to working with one of the most iconic houses in the world, @chanel.beauty , as a National MUA representing NYC. These roles took me across international markets, shaping my global perspective on beauty and artistry. Today, I’m incredibly proud to be part of @iatselocal798 working at NBC’s Today Show. I feel so lucky to work alongside such talented artists, and especially grateful to collaborate with @dylandreyernbc , alongside the incredibly talented hairstylist @getrusso_ . #makeupbyvadee 💫 @joannatobiasz Winterize Your Skin ❄️✨ Cold air, indoor heat, and wind can seriously strip moisture—so winter skin care is all about repair, protection, and hydration. 1. Cleanse gently Swap foaming or gel cleansers for a cream or milk cleanser. You want clean skin without that tight, squeaky feeling. 2. Hydration > exfoliation Cut back on strong acids. Use a hydrating toner or essence with glycerin, hyaluronic acid, or panthenol to layer moisture back in. 3. Seal it in Winter calls for richer moisturizers—look for ceramides, squalane, shea butter, or peptides. Don’t be afraid of creams right now. 4. Oils are your friend Press a few drops of facial oil over moisturizer at night to lock everything in. This is key for windburn and flakiness. 5. Protect the barrier If your skin is red or reactive, focus on barrier-repair ingredients: ceramides, niacinamide (low %), centella, or colloidal oatmeal. 6. SPF still matters UV rays + cold = sneaky damage. Use a hydrating SPF daily—even on cloudy days. 7. Don’t forget lips & hands Treat lips like skin: balm with lanolin or petrolatum. Hand cream before bed, then cotton gloves if they’re cracked. Pro tip (camera-ready skin): For smooth makeup in winter, apply skincare in thin layers and let each absorb. Finish with a light facial oil only on high points to avoid slip.
