Pippa & Gillian // Springkell House // 16.04.26 A day full of joy, fun, colour, and a little bit of chaos – honestly, just the absolute perfect day for these two 🤩 I am SO proud to have been part of Pippa & Gillian’s journey. Only a few months ago, they booked in for a warm-up shoot because the thought of being in front of the camera felt properly daunting… and then fast forward to their wedding day – the confidence, the energy, the pure joy – it was unreal to see. They completely embraced it all, trusted the process, and just lived every second of their day. It felt effortless, it felt real, and it couldn’t have been more them if it tried. Watching that shift and getting to capture it all? Honestly, such a privilege. Just one of the great things about having a Humanist marriage ceremony is that you decide what it looks and sounds like. No grand gestures?  Fine by me, kid.  You do you hun.  No sugary sweet loveydovey words because you're not that kind of couple? Great!  Because your wedding day is about what you DON'T want as much as what you absolutely do!  Lindsey and Gavin are a perfect example. They shunned the traditional readings and poems in favour of these words from A Dream of Life by Alan Watts, and it couldn’t have fitted them better. And to top it off they were read beautifully by Gavin's daughter Hannah.  "Let’s suppose that you were able every night to dream any dream you wanted to dream. And you would naturally, as you began on this adventure of dreams, fulfill all your wishes. You would have every kind of pleasure during your sleep. And you would say 'Well that was pretty great!' But now let’s have a surprise, let’s have a dream which isn’t under control, where something is going to happen to me and I don’t know what it's going to be. You would do that and come out saying, ‘Wow that was a close shave, wasn’t it?’ Then you would get more and more adventurous and you would make further and further gambles what you would dream. And finally, you would dream where you are now. You would dream the dream of living the life that you are actually living today. That would be within the infinite multiplicity of choices you would have" In other words, Marriage is two people choosing the adventure, hand in hand without knowing what comes next.
