Making the Expedition 33 cape: Stencil workflow!
This process uses stencil vinyl, low tack transfer tape, and @angelusdirect leather paint. Low tack is Very Important for this, as normal tack will just peel everything off the fabric.
Not pictured: the hours I spent hackily learning just enough of Illustrator to refine the scaling of the pattern to my body.

With lots of notes about the attachments! And peeks at the inside!
The biggest rule of thumb I learned is if it goes AROUND, use elastic. If it goes ACROSS, use nylon straps. This announcement brought to you by me ripping out a lot of nylon straps and replacing them with elastic.

Expedition-posting for the one year anniversary of this incredible game! I am so grateful to have had this experience. This game deals with tough themes (stuff that I specifically should have probably gone to therapy for) with grace, beauty, and a really positive reframing. Plus it made me really good at parrying.
