Words from the artist @petertaylorcreativeart .. “Snowy Thredbo Village” vividly portrays the breathtaking, snow-blanketed ski slopes of Thredbo, their pristine white peaks towering majestically above the charming alpine village. The iconic Thredbo Village nestles below, its chalets and lodges dusted with fresh powder, while delicate flakes drift gently from a silvery sky, creating a tranquil winter wonderland.

CAD, CAD, CAD, documentation, CAD. Work sleep repeat. Set up of new studio in Berridale. A couple of little coastal getaways. Cuddles with puppy. Cuddles with the kiddos. Site visits, problem solving, trade team talk. Tears and laughs. Client meetings. New website development (ready any day now!) More CAD. New product research. Professional development training. Occasional delicious home made taco bowls. Crying because I can’t do this anymore 😭 Smugly nailing it every other day 😏👊🏻 How is everyone else’s work life balance coming along?? I feel you xox

d a i l y Despite having a decent footprint, this kitchen was a tricky lil’ puzzle to solve for the daily life of a busy young family , but we made it happen! The palette - tight, complimentary to the surrounding environment, and now the logs don’t scream as much as sing at an appropriate level 😝. h e l l o 🤍 With a number of new followers and lovely feedback from recent social posts (thank you ☺️), I thought it might be time to show my face again from behind the scenes! For those that know me well, this is waaaay out of my comfort zone, however I don’t feel too bad about this shot haha … (thanks @no_bad_days_property )!! My name is Kirstyn, the founder and creative director of Maker + May interior design studio, based here in the gorgeous Snowy Mountains NSW. I’ve been in practice for 12+ years now, across Melbourne, Sydney and now the high country, with all the trials, tribulations, learns and successes that come hand in hand with this industry. I’m so grateful that I get to do what I love everyday, and you can read more on our brand new website (coming soon!), which will also finally showcase some beautiful work from over a decade of love, blood, sweat and (some!) tears! 😆 This journey hasn’t been travelled alone. I’ve had well recognized and dedicated mentors, award recognition and support from some incredible suppliers, team members, and strong working relationships with some of the best builders and trades going around. And to the clients who have made this possible along the way - it would not be what it is today without your trust and collaboration. Many of whom have become great mentors, friends and confidants over the years. Clean lines, strict materiality, dashes of unexpected texture and a slightly deconstructed form all come together to enhance the architectural intent, not overtake it. h o m e Setting an instant tone, the sweet little entry nook at our 100 Acre Wood project hints at a restrained materials palette and clean detail, with a little whimsy to keep things grounded. 100 a c r e w o o d So excited to finally be showcasing our 100 acre wood project … overlooking the stunning surrounds of Lake Jindabyne and the mountains beyond. A close knit collaboration between client, architect, trade and interiors, this striking residence is now very much home to this super cool family. Goodbye our beloved GSP. I am struggling greatly to describe my love for this incredible boy, who we have had to let go far too early. There are a thousand memories that will forever be etched deeply into our hearts. Photos, videos, wild tales of his antics … and the unconditional love he gave us for sweet 7 years are things we will now cherish forever. All he ever asked for in return was food off our plates, to be allowed on the lounge, the beds, and to never be more than 2cm away from us at any time. Several months ago, Kutch developed a severe form of protein losing enteropathy. Despite the best medical care from the excellent team @snowyvets and ARH hospital in Canberra, he ultimately became too weak to withstand any further treatment. On Friday 1.7.25, he went calmly to the sky, surrounded at home by his family, his soft blanket, and all the love in the world. We are overwhelmed by and deeply thank everyone who has sent love and support in various forms in recent days. And for anyone who ever really knew him - we know you feel this with us too. Mate, there was and will never be a better friend and fur boy than you. Run in peace now baby, take down those kangaroos, chase the rabbits and watch over us while we try and get used to the huge void that you have left us. 🖤🖤🖤
