2- Apply foundation and concealer in thin layers to even out your skin - you don’t need pounds of coverage
3- Apply powder strategically to set your foundation and diminish shine. Ladies over 30… be careful with that triangle powder puff unless your goal is to look dusty by dinner.
4- Choose lip and cheek colors on the same color family for a balanced makeup look
5 - Line your eyes with eyeshadow instead of a harsh liquid liner

Hotel suites can feel convenient, but once you add the bridal party, beauty team, photographer, planner, and videographer, space disappears quickly. Claustrophobic spaces are definitely not a vibe.
A clear order of services keeps everyone on track without creating pressure. The goal is flow, not chaos.
Humidity and steam can cause curls or volume to drop. We always provide final touch-ups, but a full redo shouldn’t be necessary if prep is done in the right order.

Here’s exactly what I recommend to all my brides and clients:
𝟏. 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧, 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐝𝐫𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫
This is the most important step. Hair should be 100% clean and completely dry before your appointment. Oily roots will limit what we can create , sleek styles can work, but if you’re dreaming of volume, movement, or soft waves, clean hair is essential. And just to clear this up, the idea that “dirty hair styles better” is a myth. With today’s professional products and tools, we achieve much better results on clean hair.
𝟐. 𝐖𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐲
Use a gentle shampoo and only apply conditioner from mid-lengths to ends. Avoid conditioner at the scalp to prevent excess oil and heaviness.
𝟑. 𝐒𝐦𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐟 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐝 (𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐨𝐫 𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐳-𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫)
If your goal is a smooth, polished style, come with your hair blown out.
Use a blow dryer and round brush, and you can apply a light leave-in conditioner from mid-lengths to ends before drying.�Avoid air-drying or rough drying, as this can create texture that’s harder to refine later.
𝟒. 𝐖𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞
Opt for a button-down or loose top so you can change without disturbing your finished hair.

Look for styles on hair that is similar to yours in color, length, and texture. The same hairstyle can look very different on different hair types, so choosing the right references helps us create a result that meets your expectations.

If your dress needs steaming, make sure it’s done before hair styling begins. Steam and humidity can cause curls to drop and styles to lose their shape and while we always do final touch-ups, a full redo won’t be an option on the wedding day

This is one of the most common questions we get and the answer depends on your style, hair length, and density.
Here’s a general idea of timing:
• Short hair: about 30–35 minutes
• Up styles : 40–50 minutes
• Down styles or half-up styles: around 45 minutes
• Down or half-up with extensions: 50–60 minutes
• Glam waves (Hollywood waves): 90–120 minutes
Keep in mind these are estimates.
Thicker hair, longer lengths, or more intricate styles can adjust timing slightly.
For a bride + 6, we typically need about 5.5 to 6 hours total and that includes : set up, completing all services and final touch ups before we leave
We build the timeline carefully so your morning feels relaxed, organized, and never rushed.
