The first choreography of JDI was inspired by 𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 and the combination of the musical instruments and the singer’s dynamics and storytelling.
Exploring how can we as dancers embody the lyrics and the feelings behind the words and be fragile, vulnerable yet strong simultaneously.
Thank you for the dancers for working hard and with passion for dance throughout the program!
I’m very specific with the movement quality I want my choreos to be danced with and sometimes I don’t manage to fully capture the wanted quality myself either. It’s hard work but the progress is LOUD and I’m so proud of you all 🧡

Keski/jatkotason jazz tunti sisältää tekniikkaa, liikkuvia sarjoja, sekä koreografian, ja sopii tanssijoille joilla on jo kokemusta jazzin tekniikasta ja askelkuviosta.
Tunnilla huomioidaan eri tasoiset tanssijat ja annetaan vaihtoehtoisia kuvioita ja liikkeitä, jotta jokainen voi treenata mukavasti omalla tasollaan ja samalla haastaa itseään halutessaan!

About 1.5 years ago I got caught in a situation that eventually made me very unwell. I kept most of it to myself, trying not to cause any discomfort and trouble to others and hoping I could work through it.
It took me a long time to understand what was actually happening, even though some people around me tried telling me what they were seeing.
When I finally was brave enough to stand my ground and shared my experience I felt blamed, unsupported, and unsafe. I got so unwell leaving felt like the only way out.
For the first time, I chose my wellbeing over my career and over others’ expectations. I had been taken advantage of and for granted for too long, and I won’t allow it anymore.
And so I’ve moved back to Finland.
I’m sorry for irish-goodbying and I hope to see many of you again soon!
I’m doing some serious decluttering to get rid of all the triggers in real life as well as on the socials to boost my recovery and will try to slowly start trusting people and myself again 🌻
