Active Looking Photography Workshop as part of the @nansledan.arts.festival
Saturday 20th June
12:00 - 14:00
Meet at 12pm at Sabzi Coffee Shop, Stret Myghtern Arthur, Nansledan TR8 4UX
Funded by Make it better (mitber) CIC and The National Lottery, this workshop is open to anyone with a smartphone or camera, from complete beginners to experienced photographers.
We will begin with a short discussion about perspective in photography, then explore our own perceptions of Nansledan as a place to live, work and visit. After covering a few simple composition principles, we will head out to photograph the area, capturing people, architecture, nature and community through our individual lenses. There will be optional guidance on manual camera settings for those who would like it.
After the shoot, we will return to share and discuss selected images together. Each participant will choose two or three photographs that represent their personal view of Nansledan. With permission, images may be shared on festival social media.
Emma is a professional photographer based near Newquay, regularly photographing events, people and community life across Cornwall. She also brings over twenty years of experience in education, creating workshops that are welcoming, engaging and thought provoking.
