This is my college teammate and good friend “Quick” with his son Jase — who definitely has his own superpowers 💪🏾✨
I just wanted to give my brother his flowers 🌸 because what you see here is powerful — the teacher is the child, and the student is the parent.
Quick was able to quickly adapt to his son’s learning style — reading his body language and adjusting his approach in real time 👏🏾
Jase is showing his dad how he learns best, and watching the positive reinforcement flow both ways — especially when he stumbled and needed a little vocal encouragement — was truly beautiful to witness ❤️
My brotha always calls me and we talk for hours, whether we in different states you always find a way to pour back into me! I love you for life and you and kids will forever have family on me 🤞🏽💙🏁

I had my boy @makeit_quick back on, and he opened up about something real. Both of his parents & even step-parents were incarcerated when he was coming up. That could’ve easily led him down the same path, but instead, he flipped the script.
He spoke on how his grandparents stepped in and taught him the lessons he needed credit, responsibility, discipline, and handling life like a man. Now at 34, he’s raising kids, graduated college, has a solid career, and is living way better than his parents were at his age.
I asked him what he would pass down to his son, and he said simple: let him chase what he loves. He even said sometimes he envies seeing me as a DJ because I’m doing something I love every day, and that reminded him why he wants his son to find his own lane, his own passion, and stick with it.
So the real question is this:
