Derby week is a magical time of year, and we were honored to help create an unforgettable memory with Make-A-Wish Foundation. 12-year-old Taylor's wish came true with the full Derby experience at Churchill Downs, time to explore the Kentucky Derby Museum, and a chance to make her own fascinator. 🐎 As a surprise, jockeys signed a very special saddle towel for Taylor to show their support. ✨

With your support at Wish Gala Cleveland, we raised $1,030,000 to help grant life-changing wishes for more than 100 kids throughout our community! We sent wish kid Luke off to Hawaii with some extra flair, wish mom Megan captured the audience with Evan's story of connection and community with the Cleveland @cavs , and Sydney's cake made the evening extra sweet. After the cake went for over $5,000 in the silent auction, cake winner and Gala Committee Chair, Nancy Faulhaber, divied up her winnings into six slices for live auction bidders, raising another $15,000! Congratulations to our 2026 Addie Wisniewski Changemaker Award Winner: Matt Brandenburg. Happy World Wish Day! Forty-six years ago today, a community came together to create hope and joy for a little boy named Chris, who was battling leukemia and longed to be a police officer. These original WishMakers were so inspired by the impact of his wish that they vowed to do more. That experience inspired the founding of Make-A-Wish, and this year Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana will grant its 23,000th wish. This year, we have an EXTRA sweet silent auction item at Wish Gala Cleveland donated by wish kid Sydney, whose wish was to have her own kitchen space for her baking!
