Two Years of Wave Machine 🌊 We’re admittedly a little late, but with everything happening in the world right now, do any of us feel like we’ve got it totally together? That being said, we still wanted to take time to celebrate an album we worked really hard on. We released “Wave Machine” on March 8th 2024, and so many of you have done us the honor of checking it out, coming to our shows, reaching out on social media and asking questions about it / just telling us what it means to you, and we couldn’t be more grateful for you all. Many reading this may just be discovering it, and we are so happy you’re here too. “Wave Machine” began as an idea I had— a way in which I could cope with my reality; a framework for processing an existence that had boundless love, but also infinite pain and sorrow. I tried so very hard to view life as a wave in which I could be joyful at its highs, but know also it would have lows that with courage and patience, I could wait out until another beautiful, curling high would form. It was also a way in which I felt we could tie all our songs together: all the love, joy, anger, fear, and sadness we share when we create art. The entire album was meant to be an endless self-perpetuating wave the listener could ride again and again. And I hope it reached you as we intended: a message in a bottle that with a little bit of luck, landed on your shore, and you opened it to find something you thought was beautiful, or interesting, or useful, or said something you really needed to hear. Tour on film 🎞️ We are still processing how amazing these past few weeks have been. Thank you to every person who came out to a show. We couldn’t do this without your continued support.
