We’re excited to announce Maite de Orbe as our inaugural Artist Development Resident for 2026 💖 A Spanish, London-based artist working across photography, performance and moving image, Maite (@maitedeorbe ) uses a visual documentary language as a lure into fantasy and world-making, centering intimacy, identity and the sublime. Their residency will focus on research and experimentation, with public sharings throughout. Congrats to @numenosis for representing the Dominican Republic at @redbullbatalla and winning third place. One of my favourite things about doing what I do is meeting creative people at all different stages and disciplines and connecting through the common impulse to channel and express. I took these photos last year when we were filming 'la tripiadera’, a short documentary on the scene of freestyle rap in the island.
