16.05.2026 - SAVE THE DATE! ⚡️⚡️ On Saturday, a week after the vernissage of ‚See You Tomorrow‘, we invite you to take part in our speed-dating event ‚See You At Speed-Dating‘! Based on the principles of speed-dating, the goal is not to meet the romantic love of your life but maybe a friend, future collaborator or your muse! Get together for short amounts of time and talk about life, art, rituals, repetition or whatever you like. The Bar will be open and snacks will be provided. Participation is free. See You At Speeddating will take place for an hour between 17:00-18:00 on the 16th of May 2026. The exhibition will be open longer, from 16:00-19:00 on that Saturday. We hope to see you then! ⚡️Last but not least Claudio Näf: Claudio Näf @claudiotim , *1993, hat Illustration Fiction in Luzern studiert und arbeitet seit 2018 als freischaffender Künstler, Illustrator und queer Aktivist. Er ist Mitglied des Gemeinschaftsateliers „Atelier 4000“ und betreibt eine Siebdruckwerkstatt mit dem Kollektiv „Müscle“ in Luzern. Seine zeichnerische Arbeit bewegt sich zwischen angewandter und freier Kunst und findet sich in diversen Print-Medien, wie auch in Ausstellungen und öffentlichen Räumen wieder. Zusätzlich zu seiner Tätigkeit als Zeichner tritt Claudio Näf auch als Drag Queen unter dem Pseudonym LaMer auf. Fotocredits: Sebastian Wells

✨Meet Bertilla Spinas: Bertilla Spinas @bertillllla arbeitet als bildende und performende Künstlerin. Ein Grossteil ihrer Praxis ist konzeptuell und folgt dem Prinzip, dass die künstlerische Idee die Wahl des Mediums bestimmt. Häufig verstehen sich Bertillas Arbeiten als direkte Reaktionen auf spezifische Räume oder Situationen. Auf spielerische Weise entstehen ortsbezogene Konzeptarbeiten, die das scheinbar Alltägliche auf einen gesellschaftspolitischen Nenner bringen. Was zunächst humorvoll erscheint entpuppt sich im nächsten Moment als eine Auseinandersetzung mit Machtstrukturen, sei es in Institutionen, im öffentlichen Raum oder in kulturell verankerten Denkmustern. Ein zentraler Aspekt ihrer künstlerischen Praxis liegt in kollektiven Prozessen, die vor allem in performativen Kontexten zum Tragen kommen, beispielsweise als Teil des Wrestling-Kollektivs Brigade Brut.

⚡️We are excited to present the first artist featured in our exhibition ‚see you tomorrow: Faina Yunusova @faina.yunus , an interdisciplinary artist, navigates the complexities of her cultural background, seeking to create artistic representations that resonate with depth and authenticity while embracing the fluidity of contemporary existence. In her artistic practice, Yunusova focuses on self-reflection and societal inquiry, exploring themes of memory and communal expectations in the digital age. Her expansive portfolio spans monumental painting, photography, video, digital art, artificial intelligence, performance, and installations. Her work has been exhibited in numerous institutions, including Ausstellungsraum Klingental (CH), Kunsthalle Bremen (DE), HANGAR (PT), Cité internationale des Arts (FR), Frankfurter Kunstverein (DE) and Schloss Agathenburg (DE). She was also part of the program of the Uzbek Pavilion at the Biennale Arte (2022) and participated in various lectures and workshops, including at the Museum of Modern Art Grand Duc Jean in Luxembourg (2023). She is currently active with the collectives Unofficial Hiking Society AG (Basel) and Frauen Stadt Spaziergänge Basel.

Der Alltag erscheint dabei nicht als Nebensache, sondern als tragende Struktur: als Raum, in dem sich Bedeutung durch Wiederholung einschreibt und verdichtet. Zeit fungiert hier nicht nur als Rahmen, sondern als aktiver Bestandteil künstlerischer Praxis. Im fortlaufenden Ankommen, im Denken wie im Miteinander, entfaltet sich der Kern der Ausstellung. Er verweist auf eine Form von Zuhause, die nicht statisch ist, sondern sich durch gemeinsam verbrachte Zeit und wiederholte Begegnungen immer wieder neu bildet. Erin Maier (mai_) and Sarah Valérie Steiner (_stei) are the curators behind the maistei collective. The duo first joined forces in Luzern, where they co-curated @spuel_raum for nearly a year. With their new venue, the Kulturlokal on the grounds of Erle Perle Basel, a new chapter of their collaboration begins. Throughout their work, maistei has focused on creating art spaces grounded in a queer-feminist approach. Their goal is to foster environments where connections can form especially in places where there may not have been any before. Mit ihrem neuen Veranstaltungsort, dem Kulturlokal auf dem Gelände der Erle Perle Basel, beginnt ein neues Kapitel ihrer Zusammenarbeit. In ihrer Arbeit konzentriert sich maistei darauf, Kunsträume zu schaffen, die auf einem queeren feministischen Ansatz basieren.
