Second floor framing ✔️ Ready for trusses ! What part of the house are you most excited to see come to life? The framing stage is one of my favorites, as you get to see your vision come to life. ✨

Progress at La Maison Coco Acreage 🏠
The main house is framed through the second floor and we’re getting ready for trusses next week. Our shop is getting its roof this week too… and the color reveal is finally here → swipe 🤍
Funny enough, this is the warm roof I always wished I’d chosen on our last house. Sometimes you only know after living with a colour through every season.
We’re testing exterior paint beside our brick now and I think we’ve narrowed it down to two soft, warm whites… the decision that looks simple but changes everything ✨
As we set off into the framing stage this week, one of the most fascinating parts of building is watching a rendering slowly start to feel like a real home.
Nothing about the design has changed , this is simply exploring how exterior materials and roof tones tell a slightly different story.
It’s amazing how much warmth (or coolness) can come from something as simple as stucco tone and roofing color.
I’d love to know, which direction are you naturally drawn to?
Cooler & classic, or warmer & old-world?

Build Update: This week the walls were poured, forms stripped. First drone flyover update since we last demo’d in August. Follow along to watch this new build come to life from foundation to finishing 🏡✨
In a world where it feels impossible to keep up with trends in 2026, I’m choosing one motto: make it unapologetically yours. ✨
We’re seeing a shift toward no-pressure style, big creators are saying it loud and clear: the trend for 2026 is no trends.
POV: We thought we’d stay here for a while…
Then just 3 years later, we sold our finished home off-market this past spring 😅
One “are we actually doing this?” conversation later and here we are stepping way outside our comfort zone with a new acreage build.
If you love real-life build journeys (the good, the messy, and everything in between), follow along 🤍
La Maison Coco Acreage- 2 weeks progress update. Things are well underway, over at the site. Basically the biggest update is that we bought a lot of rocks this week in various forms, all to burry it and never see it again. Really diggin’ into my pretty things budget 🪨 Was this instagram worthy ? Maybe not, but it’s all part of the process !
Follow along to watch this build come to life, I’ll be sharing the progress from foundation to finishing 🏠
