“Ver Sacrum” — the sacred spring — a rebirth.
That was the essence of the 2015 Life Ball.
This gown for @jazzmindianmoore marked a personal beginning too: it was one of my first public couture works as a young designer. The golden armor like corset, the silk bodice, the hand-dyed hues, the custom jewelry — every piece of this look was created from scratch, by hand, and with heart.

For lifeball 2015, I had the honor of creating a couture gown for the radiant @jazzmindianmoore — a gown that embodied the theme:
“Gold – Ver Sacrum”
with unapologetic opulence.
The corset was hand-sculpted and armored with hundreds of individually sewn mirrored gold sequins.
The bodice was cut from Valentino silk crepe and custom dyed to blend seamlessly with Jazzmin’s skin tone.
On top of the golden silk taffeta skirt lay layers upon layers of tulle, all delicately hand-beaded with @swarovski crystals to shimmer under the lights of Vienna’s Rathausplatz.
Every detail was sewn in silence, with intention — not just to dazzle, but to honor the spirit of the Life Ball.

Before the name,

This was my first-ever gown made for a drag queen.
Her name is @jazzmindianmoore , and together we created this silhouette with purpose.
Crafted from pure shantung silk, structured with a built-in corset, and shaped into an asymmetrical mermaid form, this dress was more than fabric.

The inner dress, corseted and glowing in pink-orange brocade, is the foundation.
The outer dress, sculpted in deep violet and lime-gold, wraps around it like a stage curtain — dramatic, oversized, regal.
