A day with us
Some time ago, our dear friends from Benjamin Barker visited us in the South West.
It was a day to discover our countryside, our workshop and discuss a shared passion.

Permanent Smile
Not long ago, the ever dapper and smiling Manish came to our beloved South West to visit the workshop (and try the local food). You can read more in his recent article (link in bio), but he didn't seem to dislike the food, at least.
Many thanks to Simon and Manish.

“Vintage”
The first step in developing our Carnet de Voyage update with friend and mentor Martin Aveyard was defining what “vintage” actually meant to us. Our new Amadora perhaps expresses it best: added yarns for depth, subtle colour variation, and above all, a softer contrast, almost as if the cloth had naturally faded over time.
It was quite far from my original vision of a more tweed-like linen, with sharper, starchier contrasts. Yet, this softer approach ultimately gave the fabric an old-school charm that feels far more natural to us.

News from Tartary
We continue to expand our Carnet de Voyage references. Alongside this, we are also introducing the Archives section on our website, where we will continue to share our end-of-line pieces… whilst they last.
But enough talk, let’s look at the new pieces.
Camouflage has moved away from its original, rather harsh tweed expression. It is now closer to my vision: a subdued cloth, yet one with real depth.
Amadora now leans towards a softer contrast, balanced by a pronounced double windowpane, making this classic pattern truly our own.
Tazewell is our first American-inspired reference. It already gives a sense of the warmer tobacco and camel tones we will be exploring. A distinctly Texan cloth, created for someone who inspired me to enter this industry.
… and of course, a new destination calls for a new silk lining, with a Nevada-inspired commission by our friend Bertrand de Miollis.

Some cloths have a story,
Others have a Story
Dunmanus was woven for my friend Harry's wedding on the eponymous natural stone bridge, in Ireland. This soft ivory is our last collaboration with Molloy & Sons. A cloth defined by its gentle contrast, yet no less steeped in tradition.
