I just had a birthday and hit 10,000 followersšŸŽ‰ time for a reintroductionšŸ«µšŸ¾ - hi guys i’m Josh, 24: 1. WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? Growing up it was just me and my mum: a Zambian asylum seeker who raised me in Bradford and refused to let our circumstances decide who I got to become. Church choir kid, read too much and ended up winning a full scholarship to read law at the University of Oxford. 2. WHERE ARE YOU NOW? London, merging two worlds - by day, I work in corporate law and I’m closing in on qualification. By night, I’m a session recording artist and backing vocalist (@soulsanctuarygospelchoir ) while building a platform on life, careers and music. (side note: we also released an album with @londonsymphonyorchestra last November and have an upcoming international tour in dec so make sure you keep an eye out!) 3. WHERE DO YOU WANT TO BE IN 3–5 YEARS Qualified, working in the emerging companies space, with a platform big enough that a 16-year-old in Bradford doesn’t have to guess how any of this works. I want the initiatives I’m quietly building now to be pulling people through the doors I had to find on my own. 4. ONE PIECE OF YOUR CREATIVE WORK A Reel I made about being sent to Zambia for discipline as a kid. This is a decision facing many families in the diaspora and almost nobody talks about publicly. It affected me deeply for years. It was a challenging post, but I was so moved by the discussion it created. I spoke to parents who’d made that choice and carried guilt about it; people who had been the ones sent as children; and struggling parents fretting over whether they should make that decision. That’s the kind of content I want to keep making. 5. ONE PIECE OF CREATIVE WORK FROM SOMEONE ELSE THAT HIT FOR YOU My cousin’s content. He has cerebral palsy and made the US national soccer. The achievement is crazy. But what gets me is that he just refused to allow his disability to stop him. He inspires me every day.@cerebralpossibility . @maisonfoundation hopefully see you in CannesšŸ«µšŸ¾ā¤ļø

For @maisonfoundation 1. Where you’ve been: Raised in Nicaragua, shaped in Miami, and now based in New York City. I got my start photographing at church, and since then have had the privilege to travel the world capturing artists and causes that matter to me. 2. Where you are now: My photography is centered around celebrating and exploring themes of community, love, and identity- with people always at its heart. 3. Where you want to be in the next 3–5 years: I see myself touring globally with an artist or band that aligns with my values and passion for music. At the same time, I want to establish and grow my own photo studio in New York, where I can continue creating honest, inviting portraits that reflect people as they are in each moment of their lives. 4. A piece of your own creative work: ritavega.com 5. A piece of creative work you admire: inspired by @victor.llorente @damon_baker @platon

hey everyone this is my submission for @maisonfoundation . When this opportunity came my way, I couldn’t pass it up. I’d love the chance to attend Cannes this year, so here’s a little bit about me. SLIDE 1: WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? My name is Mali. I’m originally from Jamaica and was raised in New York City SLIDE 2-3: WHERE ARE YOU NOW? I’m a singer/songwriter based in New York, currently working as a Talent Logistics Coordinator at CBS Network. I also run Mali View Studios, where I focus on creative direction and support other creatives through marketing and project development. With a genuine passion in film photography. SLIDE 4: WHERE DO YOU WANT TO BE IN 3–5 YEARS? In 3-5 years, get promoted to ā€˜talent producer’ in my field. Also would love to continue creating with intention. focusing on community, collaboration, and storytelling through my work whether it’s photography, campaigns and music videos, etc. I want to keep building with the people around me, and expand my community. To eventually create a program or charity that supports creatives. helping artists bring their ideas and projects to life in a real, tangible way. SLIDE 5: (1) PIECE OF YOUR CREATIVE WORK: Last year, I had the honor of joining the beauty team at @essence for my photography, which meant a lot to me. A very proud moment, especially knowing what Essence represents. Showcasing my love for portraiture capturing people in a way that feels honest and natural. It’s something that continues to inspire me to grow. SLIDE 6: (1)PIECE OF CREATIVE WORK YOU LOVE FROM SOMEONE ELSE: I loved the @aminamuaddiofficial SS26 collection. It felt nostalgic and really relatable. It reminded me of being younger. Looking up to others and wanting to be like them, whether that was through style, energy, or presence. That feeling was captured so beautifully. I can’t wait to eat some French baguettes!šŸ„–šŸ‡«šŸ‡· @maisonfoundation , I’m really excited about this opportunity. Ready to make dreams reality.
