I was soooo excited to find this wild variety of banana growing in our garden ๐คฉ
it was about 90% hard black seeds, but the 10% (if that) of flesh was absolutely delicious!
the exciting things is, is that now these will be cross pollinating with all of our other banana palms - creating new strains of banana ๐คฉ for now these are a treat for the bugs and birds ๐

she gives so much, asking for so little in return.
it never makes sense to me to celebrate her just once a year.
itโs not earth day, itโs an earth life.

coconut yoghurt recipe ๐ค๐ฅฅ๐
I will never be buying yoghurt again ๐คฉ
this was so simple, and even more special using coconuts from our land ๐ฅน

ingredients ~
the meat of 6 coconuts
2 cups filtered water (you can also use the water of the coconuts, but we drank them!)
4 capsules probiotics

method ~
blend the coconut meat, filtered water and probiotics until smooth.
using a spatula (no metal), pour into a glass jar and cover with a mesh cloth or tea towel.
leave at room temperature for 10โ12 hours.
once ready, refrigerate.
your yoghurt should have expanded and have a tangy, yoghurty smell - thatโs when you know itโs ready!
add fruit, honey, granola, or enjoy it just as it is โจ

the longer it cultures, the tangier it becomes.
leave space in the jar as it will expand!
