You’ve probably spotted Axle popping up in a few of our photos, so we figured it was about time for a proper introduction. 🐾
Axle is our family dog, and a pretty important part of the Main Divide team (at least in his own mind). Born and bred on a North Island sheep station, he spent the first 18 months pretending not to hear any training… then suddenly decided to become useful 😆
These days he’s sharp as they come. He’s worked out that different shoes mean different things - if the running shoes come out, he’ll quickly put himself away in the kennel.
Loves going hunting, has great camp manners, and never gets tired of human interaction. He’ll also happily throw and catch his own frisbee or tennis ball if no one else is available.
Biggest flex? Backtracking and leading us back to camp or creek crossings after dark. Handy team member to have around.
We had a message come through from Claire after a recent trip, running the HTM 145 Nuyarn® Merino Women’s Long Sleeve Hoodie along with our socks.
