The team at @magnetomagazine is especially excited about this issue. Not only have we secured the world’s most sought-after car, the priceless, one-of-three (or possibly four; there’s a story on that inside) Bugatti Atlantic, but we’re also unveiling the first design refresh of Magneto since our launch in 2019. It’s not just about featuring the automotive equivalent of the Mona Lisa on the cover or introducing a new look. We’re also launching a brand-new section, Journal, dedicated to thoughtful writing, opinions, and insights on all things automotive, printed on its own distinct paper stock. The issues have just arrived back from the printers today, and the result is exceptional. The print quality is outstanding, and the magazine as a whole feels like a truly special package. If you can get hold of a copy, it will be well worth it. Massive thanks to: Editorial director: @davidlillywhite Publishing director: @lovegeoff Deputy editor: @magneto.wayne Managing editor: @sarah_sputnik_the_sequel Bugatti Atlantic photography and video footage: @blair.bunting Video editing for social media: @joejxh #magazinedesign #classiccars #carphotography #bugatti #bugattiatlantic

JAS Motorsport Tensai is the second-gen NSX I wish Honda had given us instead. Styled by Pininfarina and engineered by JAS Motorsport, the car will be built in an ultra-limited series using carefully selected donor cars from the early 1990s in both left- and right-hand drive. "Compared with the original NSX, Tensei adopts a significantly revised package, including a longer wheelbase, a shorter rear overhang, larger wheels, a lower stance and a much wider track." Tensei features an entirely new carbonfibre body, a redesigned interior (also by Pininfarina) and a naturally aspirated V6 'inspired' by the original NSX engine paired with a six-speed manual transmission. Perfection.

A brief glimpse of Miami at night. I may have been given bad intel by my 3-star airport hotel. However, I did meet a star-struck Iglesias, a very festive rooster and a man who still has a Testarossa on his wall, just like I did four decades ago.

1993 Fiat Scia always leaves stunned onlookers in its wake. So pure, so special. A masterpiece of minimalist design that is not short of emotion. #italiancars #conceptcar #fiat #barchetta

Very pleased to see the Bertone collection is now at the Stellantis Heritage Hub in Turin. All those concepts look right at home alongside show cars such as the brilliant Fiat Scia. Can you name the other non-Bertone car here? @stellantisheritage @asiautomotoclubstoricoitaliano #conceptcars

MAUTO is just a few minutes away from Pininfarina so why not? Special Ferrari Design exhibition was worth a quick look. Still a huge Deborah fan. New cars being installed on the ground floor mean there’s not quite as much as usual on display at the moment. Still it’s not everyday you see the Carlo Felice Trossi Monaco Trossi [almost] GP car. An air-cooled 16-cylinder radial two-stroke was never going to work, was it?

A pre-arranged visit to Pininfarina. When people ask why I’m besotted with concept cars - because Mythos. Honda HP-X looks incredible, too. The lovely Alessia guided me around the collection, which is why I now know that Battista’s own Florida II had wipers both on the outside and the inside of the rear window. Also, no prizes for naming which car’s panels were formed using this wooden frame as reference.

A four-hour dusk-into-night drive – much of that chasing the full moon – proved the Supersport’s touring credentials. I hadn’t expected the relatively high levels of comfort on offer. Seamless Bluetooth and perfectly angled charging pad enabled both 1990s grunge to counter the 70mph boom and Apple Maps to keep me on track. Night-time motorway reflections within the luxuriously minimalist cabin’s flat glass screen and polycarb window sliders kept me fully engaged, as did occasional [very] short stabs on the throttle – torque to burn; full smile! An overnight stay in Faversham meant a short blast to Margate in the morning and a wonderfully nostalgic stop in at Scalextric and the WonderWorks. After a foggy lunch at Broadstairs, [thank you @samchickphotography ], I blushed away all the admiring looks and pointed the head-turning Supersport back towards the Malvern Hills and the @morganmotor Experience Centre. Full digital drive story on Magneto magazine soon.

Malvern to Margate in a Morgan Supersport is off to a hot start. That’s not only due to the way it looks, but someone left the seat heater on the hotter of its two volcanic settings: Krakatoa! I challenge anyone who has never driven a Morgan to find the seat heater switches while on the move.

@jalpage I could not resist the @retromobile_paris scale model section. Bargained my way into adding these @lamborghini #prototypes and #conceptcars to my 1:43 collection. @onetofortythirdscale
