Sitting at my table quietly collaging delicate paper clouds with schools of tiny fish cut from a sidewalk pile of National Geographics helped me find balance this month, during stretches of grinding metal in a loud shop.

✨Nocturnal Lanterns✨, our 80’ mural featuring six large-scale illuminated stainless steel lanterns, has been installed at the @whatcom_museum and we’ve been blown away and a little overwhelmed (in the best way) by all the messages and positive feedback this week!!! Thank you, @downtownbham@cityofbellingham@whatcom_museum for supporting public art. We’re grateful for the grant, supported by the C.O.B. and the Lodging Tax Advisory Board, which allowed us to bring our vision to life in the town we love. As we navigate this scary, hard time in our world, the act of illuminating darkness and bringing attention to our non-human animal neighbors here in the Salish Sea bio-region is powerful.
