In the vast Argentine pampas, a quiet but powerful revolution is taking place. Mariela, a 40-year-old mother of five, is breaking centuries of tradition by becoming a gaucha—the fearless female counterpart to the legendary gaucho. Her journey is about courage, resilience, and redefining what’s possible for women in her community.
100%’s @maevestam has spent the last 5 years working on this project and getting to know Mariela and her community, capturing stunning footage of her life. But this story isn’t finished - Maeve needs your help to bring Mariela’s full story to life!

The past 5 years I’ve been working on the short film ‘Gaucha’,
A story about one women’s determination to fight for gender equality within her community. While keeping traditions alive she is carving out space for women in the most southern tip of Patagonia.

The finest raki producers on the island, Argiris and Adonis.
Raki is crafted from fermented grape peels, distilled via a tightly-sealed copper barrel above a woodfire.
These brothers were taught by their father, who was renowned for his raki-making skills, to create the most desired drink on the island.
When you drink their raki, you taste tradition, heritage, and hard work and love its made with.
Under the cover of very strong alcohol:)

Stepping off the ferry my lungs gratefully fill with Tinian air.
The Cycladic winds make my heart beat in a calmer pace, and makes the city slowly leave my muscles.
Tinos, the island that feels, to me, what home should feel like.
