Our real worth isn’t in being the source of everything. It’s knowing our value isn’t in the constant output, but in how beautifully we reflect what we receive. 🪩✨ 📸 @shotsbyauts 😍😍😍

What life feels like sometimes. We go in circles. As a photographer, sometimes you just have to creatively make it fun.

Just a wedding guest with a camera. 📸 Lately I’ve been thinking about what it would look like to offer something different, not like traditional wedding photography, but something quieter. Consider it the “quiet coverage” in addition to your main photography but with less pressure. Just honest documentation of your day, as it happens, the way a guest experiences it. I’d like to think there’s space for it. My heart (and my Fujifilm) are both here for it. Just something to consider. Honored to have witnessed this day about em & J, filled with so much intention and love, so much so, it stayed with me. It inspired me. 💕 📸 Straight out of my @fujifilmx_us (also wanted to note: I personally don’t shoot big weddings as the main photographer, it’s just not my thing, but I will forever recommend @justinlaugenphotography_ who did an absolutely amazing job capturing this wedding with great energy. Which is also very inspiring.

Some stories feel like they were written in the margins of fate… soft, unexpected, and a little bit magical ✨ MAE, you weren’t even a wine drinker, and somehow the universe still nudged you right into my world. You took a chance, just a single taste… and watching you fall in love with Mariposita, something I’ve poured so much of myself into felt like witnessing a quiet kind of miracle. There’s something so rare about meeting someone whose craft speaks just as loudly as yours. Your photography doesn’t just capture moments, it feels them. And that calm, grounding energy you carry? You can feel it before the shutter even clicks. I’m so happy you said yes to trying my wine, even when it wasn’t your thing. Truly… that meant more than you probably know. And I’m so grateful you allowed that tiny moment to turn into this beautiful connection between your art and mine. Here’s to the unexpected pairings! 🥂 Wine & wonder, lens & love, and the kind of people you didn’t see coming but now can’t imagine not knowing ..🤍 • • Photographer: @maemephoto 📸

Last Sunday, I attended the “Love Letters to Self” gala @photoeuphoriastudios which was an experience that felt like a full-circle reflection of my past year. In July 2025, I joined @tiffsphotoeuphoria portrait series, writing letters to both my past and future self. Taking time honoring little Mae for her kindness and reminding future Mae to stay grounded through life’s changes. Stepping in front of the camera in such a vulnerable way was something new, and I’m so grateful I did it. Seeing my photo framed that night, I didn’t just notice the physical changes, I felt the emotional growth too. Both versions of me are so proud. 🥹💕

It doesn’t get any better than mommy and me photo sessions! The amount of behind-the-scenes video that I have to pair with these beautiful photos is unbelievable. For all my sessions! My goal in the coming weeks is to share more of the moments leading up to the final photos. Hold me accountable! 😂🙏🏻💕

Mama, You deserve to be in this moment too, after all you make this bit of magic everything it is. ✨ I’ve been sitting with intention to share these photos but I wanted them to come with the perfect sentiment and reminder that time is so fleeting.

Today I’m saddened to hear about the passing of my dear friend, Charles. I have so many words to say about this extraordinary man and the impact he had on my life from the moment we met in 2018, through the many visits that followed. He shared his love of nature and creativity with me and with so many others in a way that was tangible yet unique, quiet yet impactful. Moments like this are a reminder of how short life is, and they make me even more grateful for the way I document it. Charles was an artist in his own right..building something from nothing, guided by nature. He documented his life through what he created and shared, leaving behind stories, lessons, and a way of seeing the world that stays with you. To know Charles was to understand that there are no real limitations in life, to live life on your own terms, to appreciate nature and art, and to remember that being human is only a small part of something much bigger. I’m grateful for that. I can’t help but think he would be proud of me today. I had hoped to see him one last time this summer. Until we meet again, my friend. “Be active, be creative, and be alive.” — Charles Bello (1932–2026) 🌲
