we had a wedding on april 19, 2026! and will celebrate 3 years of marriage on may 19, 2026, and eleven years together on july 6, 2026. our wedding photographers recently sent us sneak peeks and film, and wow, I will be unabashedly sharing basically all of these photos for the rest of my life.
i am a planner, i always have had a clear and specific idea about how my life would go. field has changed that vision 100x over with no end in sight— and i am more pleased with my life than i ever thought possible. our life together is truly the best thing ever. i feel so lucky? like too lucky! like another shoe might drop (hiii anxiety) but I try not to focus on that.
I used to feel a lot of bitterness that it took us so long to commit in this way. after standing in front of our loved ones and expressing a decade worth of love, I can’t imagine doing it differently. i love this man so profoundly no one event could contain it, but it sure was fun to try to make it all fit!
a lifetime won’t be enough, and I’m grateful for every moment we have. what a privilege it is to be yours ✨

happy birthday to my mom, @aliselscott ! everyone who meets you notices your verve and your love & compassion for others. @ian_f_scott & i are so lucky to have been raised by someone who not only taught us the value of kindness, but lives it every single day as a shining example! you are really the best person AND the best mom i know. can’t wait to party with you soon! i love you! 💕
one month ago today a dear friend left this life for the next. it’s still surreal and the heartbreak is still fresh. she was a real force of nature— brilliant, kind, strong minded, and adventurous as hell. i believe her spirit is present within those she loved— and her mark on my soul is a bright one. i’ll remember her anytime my own risk aversion is keeping me from A Big Experience, and remember that life is better when you lean into moments of spontaneous fun. she reminded me to love and care for my body through movement, a gift I am still grateful for. she was uniquely capable of living in the present, had a sharp and open mind, and shared a near magical connection with the planet. it was such a gift to see her a handful of times in the last year, from her cozy german living room to the streets of oslo to her gorgeous and profound april wedding. i (and our entire guam family) miss her and love her very much.
if you’re the praying type, please keep her husband chuck and her family in your prayers. chuck really was the ultimate partner for her during her illness, and is an incredible example to me of what love in action looks like.
hug your people and make the most of the time you have with them. we’re so lucky to have each other for the time we’re granted. 🫶🏻
