We’re pleased to introduce Friend of a Friend, a newly formed Ottawa artist collective dedicated to collaborative, community-driven projects.
The collective grew out of Upstairs (Nov 2025), a two-week residency and pop-up exhibition that brought together more than 25 artists in a temporary apartment-based gallery. The project welcomed over 200 visitors and highlighted the value of artist-run, informal exhibition spaces.
We are currently producing a printed catalogue documenting the full project, and our goal is to include it in the Possible Worlds Zine Fair in May.
We are fundraising to cover printing costs for the catalogue.

Friend of a Friend Collective
The last 2 weeks I invited many artists to be residence in my apartment I am freshly moving into. Collectively we have been exploring the meaning of home. I am so excited to announce this ‘Upstairs’ exhibition in my apartment happening this Saturday, Sunday Monday! Super happy that I am finally getting to a place in #touchdesigner where i can make things that I like without necessarily always following a tutorial!! More of this coming soon. This is a generative art piece so for reel purposes it it 10 seconds long but in the actual file it is infinitely different and will never repeat itself (theoretically). Touch Designer commissions open btw if you want me to make some generative art for ya.
