Those who know me little, may probably know about my neighbour Roshan aunty.
I never grew up with grandparents, but I was fortunate enough to have Davierwala uncle and Roshan aunty to maybe little bit kind of fill that gap. Roshan aunty taught me to do sudoku. She would tell me stories of her banking days and showed me pictures of her daughters and their kids with utmost pride.
She liked company and having someone, anyone to talk to. She would feed the crows outside her window. Her friends who came over when she couldn’t get out of the house. And in the true sweet tooth style of hers she would feed them jalebis 😂 and then the crows started getting spoilt so they would only have jalebis from Brijawasi and not Chandu halwai. Hahahahhaha I find this such a cute story, it is the most aunty thing to happen
She would call me to fix her phone just as an excuse to talk to me an ask me how my day was. She would keep the door open to see and talk to anyone who was passing.
It’s been almost 5 months since aunty passed, and now the door doesn’t stay open and there isn’t a smiling face waiting for me.

Over in 2021, after a trip to Mahableshwar, a new mehmaan entered our house. Our little cute strawberry plant, Baby Brie
Why baby Brie? Brie and strawberry? (Yum), Straw-brie? Meri marzi?
Anyways we all loved baby Brie. I fully enjoyed seeing everyday a new flower or a new strawberry 🍓🥰
How unlikely no, to have a strawberry plant in Bombay? Idk it felt like it.
I would tell soo many people about my little baby brie, even though all the care and nurturing was done by my mummy lol
We waited patiently, everyday all of us admiring and checking on our little baby Brie. Everytime baby brie gave us a fruit, we always shared it hehehe, we cut it in four and all had a little sweet sliver. Truly enjoyed 🫶🏼
However, Bombay got hotter and baby brie didn’t make it past the summer of ‘24
My mummy makes jam every year, a stock up to enjoy our strawberries throughout every season.
And I had to design the label as a little ode to my baby brie, who gave me picnic vibes in my balcony and her sweet little flowers and fruit always made me happy. Hope it makes you happy too! 🥰

If anyone knows me at all, even 1%, you know there is nothing I love more in life than bread. Do I eat toasted bread and butter with almost every lunch? Probably yes.
So when I saw this recipe of frickin BUTTER TOAST COOKIES, I was like BROOOO. You have somehow combined my two favourite food groups 😭😭 Cookies and bread, who would have thought. But clearly this genius @lungisalwaysbaking did!!! And honestly I’m soo greatful! 🫶🏼🍪💗🌟
These cookies taste soo fricking good I can’t even explain it. They taste like warmth, like Sunday morning, idk please understand my feelings towards these cookies. My picture doesn’t do justice but please understand how much everyone needs to try these!!

2025 - what a year.
I’ve laughed, I’ve cried (a lot)
I’ve learnt, I’ve lost, I’ve gained
This year I did things I normally wouldn’t, I took some chances (not a lot),
I listened to music,
I took naps in a garden (once),
I cracked stupid jokes and laughed and made everyone laugh like maniacs,
I got anxious, and did lot of overthinking also,
I made a few things (pottery baby lezzgooo),
Ate a LOTTT of food (read as dessert)
But all in all
I almost didn’t paint at all this year. And it does hit me quite a bit when I think about it. Art used to be my escape and somehow the whole year I escaped from it. But you know what? It’s okay? There is another year? And another one after that , and atleast another 50 good ones more (looking for a life elixir tbh, have too many projects too little time)
I might look back at this year as a filler year, but it’s okay, we ain’t gonna be hard on ourself, we still made it though somehow and that’s all that matters ✨✨✨
Hopefully 2026 will see a LOTT more creativity, art, love, life and just good vibes babyyyy 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼
A big thankyou, to everyone, who was there for me when I couldn’t be and kept pushing me to be bigger and better. Thankyou for all the opportunities, all the hand holding and all the love 💗
