Seems like an appropriate day to share. I wrote a romance novel! Saying that and holding this book in my hands feels surreal, especially since it’s not something I ever imagined I’d do. But I truly believe life should be about finding the things that slightly terrify you and doing them anyway. So after four years, I’m ready to put this out into the world and proudly say: I’m an author.

I’ve been quietly developing a new kind of art. Something that’s taken shape slowly, and feels different from anything I’ve shared before.

SELLING MY STASH!! Hi, everyone, Meg here 🖐️Sea Glass Jeweler turned homesteading heavy equipment operator at @walnutsandwineberries Long time no see. I just moved my storage unit of all of my sea glass collection and wow it is excessive. Two years ago when I packed up my studio I wasn't sure what the future holds as far as me and sea glass jewelry. Now it seems a world away from my new life in the mountains. I don't see myself making sea glass jewelry again. It pains me to think of all that beautiful glass sitting when I know so many of you wonderful artists and jewelers can put it to good use. So it is going! I have all grades, sizes, quality and colors. My question is what is the best way to group the glass for selling? I can sell by piece, by lot or by pound.... Not sure what you all might prefer. Would you like mixed lots or would you like to make private requests. I couldn't let the holiday pass without posting my favorite sea glass and ink drawing. I hope you are all doing well. We have been busy with our new adventure of getting settled on our new land in southwestern Virginia and preparing to build our home ourselves. We recently added two furry members to the family that are fitting right in. Homeschooling this year has been rewarding and fun for myself and the girls. Jon is in his element with working the land and being outside everyday. I often find myself thinking about my sea glass friends while walking our property. I often feel like I am beachcombing with all the shards of glass and pottery I find (the property has seen many families back to the 1800s). I even have found a few full bottles. The other day I added a doll head to our collection that I found in the dirt while walking the puppies. We have enjoyed chronicling our venture with weekly videos on YouTube. I feel so far away from the beach here in the mountains, but like to hop over to this account from time to time to see all your beachy finds. Many of you have asked about Carter guides/ posters, The Carter Sea Glass Color and Rarity Guide will be for sale again sometime in 2021 for retail and wholesale purchase. Stay tuned for when exactly. As far as jewelry and engagement rings, we closed the studio in May and that chapter of our lives is complete.

I have thought a lot about what to say in this post and I guess it all comes down to simply, THANK YOU. The friends I have made and the memories this community has provided has been amazing. Thank you for your guidance, support, business, inspiration and friendship. @madebymeg and @prismseaglass Turned into a success I never would have imagined when I first started and it has been a wonderful experience with way more personal thank yous than I can possibly list.
After 12 years, it is time for a new adventure.
Owning my own jewelry business was a dream of mine and Jon was with me every step of the way. Now it is his turn to live out his dream with me by his side.
This bittersweet moment comes with sadness and equal excitement for our next chapter in our family's story.
I hope you will follow along with us as we venture into this huge art project. Our new instagram account is @walnutsandwineberries you can find us and our new YouTube channel there.
Once our new business is up and running we do plan on having a branch of the business that will still be selling Carter Sea Glass Guides. Check back in a few months about that.
As time goes on, I may find myself back at the jewelry bench, but for now my heart is with this new dream.
