✨The Pleat Top by @alamain_studio
Kept procrastinating over this top because I couldn’t decide which size to make 🙃
And honestly, this is exactly why it’s so helpful seeing garments on other people in a similar size range.
I ended up sizing up from the recommended bust size because of my broad shoulders, I was worried the armholes would feel too tight otherwise. I haven’t worn it out yet, but overall I’m really happy with the fit.
The only thing I’m not completely sold on is how it sits around my belly, though I think that’s more the stiffness of the fabric than the pattern itself.
Last three pics are from the making process ✂️
✨ Fabric: 100% Cotton Shirting Sateen
✨ Size: 10 - my measurements are: 83cm bust, 68cm waist and 97cm hips (no alterations made)

Another Georgia Tee by Elizabeth Suzann ✂️ I made this one for a friend using cotton poplin, luckily we’re the same size and love the same colours 😁
Styled it with some oversized tailored trousers (store bought, sadly), but I love how the whole look comes together. Add trainers and it’s the perfect comfy but cool office outfit.
I get so distracted choosing my next pattern… and for some reason, trousers are always the ones I put off the most!
✨ Fabric: 100% Cotton Poplin in Lilac
✨ Size: OSM - my measurements are: 83cm bust, 68cm waist and 97cm hips (no alterations made)

I’m sharing my second version of the #TAUKOlaine top, designed by Eeva Aalto @taitojamit
This time I’ve used a cotton shirting fabric and I’m not entirely happy with the fabric choice. The ties turned out so nice and sharp, but the facing doesn’t sit flat despite being understitched. I should’ve skipped adding interfacing maybe 🤔
I had a bit of fun pairing this with the Classic shirt, for a bit of a pattern clash, I think it works. Maybe with navy trousers would look even better.
✨ Fabric: 100% Cotton Shirting
✨ Size: 2 - my measurements are: 83cm bust, 68cm waist and 97cm hips (no alterations made)

Some simple B&W shots of my version of the #taukolaine top. Nothing fancy, I just like how the details look like this.
Might do more of these 😊

Celebrating Nordic Summer with @taukomagazine for the 19th edition! I’m happy to share my version of the #TAUKOlaine top, designed by Eeva Aalto @taitojamit .
This is such a versatile pattern and for me personally a perfect fit. The fabric I used is slightly flowy and was an excellent choice or this top.
I’m currently searching for the perfect fabric to make a dress 👀
✨ Fabric: 100% Linen in Black (lightweight)

Sharing a longtime favourite: the Georgia Tee by @elizsuzann
An effortless, versatile top that layers beautifully year-round.
Made in size OSM from 100% cotton shirting.
No changes on the pattern.
Thought I’d share a favourite me-made outfit 🤍
Both pieces have been worn and washed, so they feel nicely lived-in, but they’ve held their shape beautifully.
My favourite detail is the side slit on the shirt, perfect for tucking just the front.
Top: Classic Shirt by @modern_sewing_co
Skirt: The Shepherd Skirt by @merchantandmills
A fab example of our ‘workwear osprey’ fabric made into versatile trousers 👌
Anca made these @taukomagazine Keja trousers using our 100% cotton twill in classic black - it’s got that balance of structure and softness that makes it ideal for everyday wear. Holds its shape nicely, but still comfortable.
We’re so impressed with the talented @madebyaverde sharing another stunning make 💚
We love seeing how you bring our fabrics to life, and this one from @madebyaverde Anca is such a beauty✨
Anca used our Italian 100% cotton fine gabardine in navy to make the Shepherd Skirt by @merchantandmills and the result is such a timeless piece. The structure of the gabardine really shows off those crisp pleats and gives the skirt that lovely movement.
Classic, elegant and endlessly wearable – this is the sort of handmade piece that will stay in a wardrobe for years.
Thank you for sharing your make with us, Anca. It’s truly gorgeous💙
Yet another make using remanent fabric. I had 1m of a cotton/ramie blend and this was a great opportunity to try the #zerowaste slip dress for the Zero Waste Pattern book by @birgittahelmersson .

I love this dress, it was so easy to make, a perfect choice after a break from sewing to regain my confidence.
While the fabric has a rustic look, I think this can be dressed up or down, but the image that comes to my mind is wearing this on a hot summer day after a long cycle ride.
🪡Size: Small using 1m long fabric
🪡Fabric: Cotton/ ramie blend in Clover Green (@sewmesunshine.uk )
Now I need to decide which zero waste pattern to try next 🤔
My new favourite overshirt @modern_sewing_co
I love everything about this shirt, I started wearing this straight away, you can still see the chalk markings 😅
I didn’t have enough of the navy cord which is why I ended up with this colour combination.
