Ever have one of those moments when a track pulls you into another world? That’s what happened to us during a secret warehouse party scene in ‘The Fall of the House of Usher’ (second episode). Madeaux’s masterpiece ‘ME & U’ emerged from that scene and we knew we had to dive deeper.
We wanted to keep that hypnotic, sensual power of “ME & U” but drive it with a relentless, percussive pulse – like you’re drowning in the mix. The process was almost eerie in its flow. We dropped the vocals into the DAW, and the bass, drums, and synths followed naturally, it was one of those rare moments whereas if the track had a life of its own.
