Hello, I’m Maddee!! @maddeesigns I’m a playful and thoughtful designer driven by whimsy and empathy, from Reno, Nevada. Since I was little, I knew I wanted to pursue a creative future, and refused to do otherwise. As a maximalist at heart (learning to embrace negative space), I’m drawn to vibrant colors, textures, and so many details. I’m inspired by whatever’s taking up my brain space, and creating meaningful experiences through design. When I’m not hunched over my computer, I love to play social deception games with my friends, collect way too many things, and find the little joys in life. Another project from brand lab last year! I made a cosmetics brand based on intangible concepts with a focus on self-love and care. The visual style strives to make the consumer experience feel like a warm and friendly hug. Mujamo is radiant, uplifting, sincere, playful, and thoughtful. I had a lot of fun experiencing with colors and shapes for this project, as it resonated with me and I wanted it to resonate with others :)))

My final project for my motion graphics class! We were allowed to do whatever we wanted, so I did a video that demonstrates how addicting doomscrolling is, how it desensitizes us to things we see, and dwindling empathy with how fast we move on. I also wanted to convey my own personal feelings of frustration with these things, since I value empathy but admit I am also guilty of doomscrolling and getting stuck in the fast-pace of social media 😭
I tried to keep this project simple, due to being busy with other finals and things in my life; I only had 5 days to work on this! (For graphic design projects, that is extremely short) I thought about things really carefully and my portrayal of each scene, but my perfectionist side kicked in and that made things more time consuming 😅 Despite the challenges, it’s like 90% how I imagined and planned it in my head, and I’m proud of what I accomplished!
