Selah is a vibrant, wise, and incredibly brave 10-year-old girl who is living with the devastating diagnosis of stage IV adrenal cortical carcinoma. Despite her illness, Selah continues to show the world her strength, resilience, incredible spirit and hope.
She is the beloved daughter of Mara and JP, two self-employed and deeply community-centered parents who have always worked tirelessly to provide for their family. Together with her three siblings—Szerafina (15), Odin (7), and Oak (5)—Selah has created a home full of love, laughter, and support.
JP had been my trainer since I was 13 and while holding that role he has also been a mentor, someone I look up to as a man and a true friend. He is probably the most reliable person I have seen and his dedication to his work, his family and clients is unrivaled.
Mara was my yoga teacher and our relationship has held many forms. She has been a guide and teacher in my life long before I realized it and a best friend. Her presence in the community is a grounding one and her inspiration to people extends far beyond her sight.
With your help I hope to raise money so they may seek every opportunity to help Selah heal. To have the opportunity to direct as much of their energy and focus towards their family as a whole. Spreading inspiration, experiencing joy and spreading their love together all while the financial realities of the world can be eased and thought of less as they balance work and family.
